Apparently, Sony Ericsson seriously thinks about the possibilities in adopting any other OS for their devices. Following their consideration to use not only Windows Mobile for the coming series of Xperia, the company’s president Dick Komiyama, revealed that Sony Ericsson is now studying Google’s Android mobile operating system (and of course, not necessarily for Xperia device).

“We are certainly studying this opportunity, although we’re not in a position to do this at this moment,” Komiyama told journalists… “We are certainly interested.”

Actually, Sony Ericsson was already part of the Symbian Foundation, a group which  gives developers free access to its software. Android is also a fully open OS, meaning that developing for it is a free-for-all.
