Windows Mobile won’t be free: Balmer

Posted on October 1st, by Budi Putra in featured. No Comments

Feeling generous? Not yet. That’s what Microsoft’s Steve Balmer said; his company has no plans to make the Windows Mobile smartphone operating system royalty free. Yeah, this company will not follow Google’s foodprint in offering free smart-phone OS like Android.

Microsoft is believed to charge somewhere from US$8 to $15 per handset that runs Windows Mobile.

Balmer said:

Handset makers are skeptical of Nokia, operators are skeptical of Google, I think by actually charging money people know exactly what our motivations are.
