Vodafone to bring iPhone to the UK on January 14

Vodafone announced that it will launch iPhone in the UK on January 14, available from £30 a month (on a 24 month contract). iPhone customers can use up to 1GB of mobile data as part of their price plans as well as take advantage of unlimitedaccess toWi-Fi in the home andfree, publicly availableservices throughout the country. Also included within the price plans, customers will also be able to use up to 1GB dataon one of the UK’s largest Wi-Fi networks, BT Openzone, providing high-speed internet access at premium locations across the UK.

“We started preparing our network over a year ago so that iPhone customers will really feel the advantage of being with Vodafone,” said Guy Laurence, CEO, Vodafone UK. “We will offer an outstanding iPhone experience wherever our customers live, work and travel, delivering speed and reliability – something our customers have told us they really value.”

    Finally!

    -I gather customer service is much better than O2

    -and their 3G coverage is much more comprehensive.

    Shame it took so loooong though!
