I received the exact same message, I stood on the line hoping to get an operator, it kept asking me for my card number and my pin number. I didn’t input any information, eventually the call hung up on its own. Didn’t try again.

This is what my message said:
sms@visa.com/C.U. West. “Pending Authorization”. For more information please call 1-800-882-7043. Thank you./

I just received the same text … “sms@visa.com and to call 1-800-882-7043 “Pending Authorization”.

I just received a text on my t-mobile “sms@visa.com” and a 1-800-882-7043 to call. I called and the recording said they needed my card number to take care of some pending authorization. I had made some purchases with the visa today so that’s why I called. I didn’t give them my number but instead called the number on the back of the visa and they told me they would not send a text message like that.

They got me….I feel so stupid….
Called bank right away and had my account restricted…it seems some customers are being notified of scam by t-mobile…that would have stopped me..now all the hassle of a new card, but at least they didn’t get what money I have……

sms.alert@visa.com /visa (card blockes) Alert. For more information please call 1-877-362-4033. Thank you. / THIS IS A SCAM PEOPLE. DO NOT CALL AND GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFO. CALL YOUR T-MOBILE OR OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AND ALSO NOTIFY VISA. THEY HAVE THE RESOURCES TO TRACK DOWN THE SCAM ARTISTS DOING THIS.

Received message on cell to call 877-635-3764 because my Visa was “restricted”. Called the number and was asked to input my Visa account number, which I did not. Called Visa Customer Service and they said they had no knowledge of this phone number and as far as they were concerned my account was OK.

Also in Greenville SC and had the same as above. The only difference , it came on my daughters phone that is in my name but not affiliated with ANY of my accounts. Hung up and then sent email to visa.com about possible scam.

VISA. (Card Blocked) Alert. For more information
please call 1-877-362-4033 Thank you.

I called number from a completely different phone not linked to my account whatsoever… computer generated message immediate says my account had been blocked…please enter credit card number and exp date for more information.

HOAX do not enter your info!!

I received the same sms text msg, same tel number, number disconnected, except my msg said ‘visa card blocked’
