Too good to be true, but here is the G2 picture

Here is another additional information regarding the next Google Android-powered handset, the second HTC-built phone for the T-Mobile: the unconfirmed G2.

t-mobileg2

Yesterday, the T-Mobile blog CellPhone Signal posted a list of new features it claimed would be in the G2, with the supposed date of the device’s release: January 26, 2009 (OMG!).  Then BGR just posted the device’s (look-like Photoshop’s) picture and told us that the launch date has been pushed back to April due to software issues.

As you can see, this device has no physical QWERTY keyboard and full touchscreen. The trackball at the bottom is going to stay. After the G2, a G3 handset is supposed to follow.

The new device will feature:

  • Android OS
  • 3G capable (where available)
  • Full touch Screen
  • Enterprise Capable
  • WiFi capable (no word about UMA)
  • 5 Megapixel camera with aoutofocus and flash
  • Address Book
  • Calculator
  • Calendar
  • EDGE and GPRS
  • Games
  • Instant Messaging
  • Megatones, HI-Fi tones and wallpapers
  • Memory card Slot (up to 16GB)
  • Mobile Backup
  • Music and Video Player
  • Phone Book
  • Photo Caller ID
  • Picture Messaging
  • Real web browsing
  • Speakerphone
  • Speed dial
  • Stereo Bluetooth connectivity
  • Sync with PC ( better than air sync)
  • Task list
  • USB interface
  • Video capture and playback
  • Video Messaging
  • Voice Dialing
  • myFaves capable and T-Zones

The guy who posted this admitted it was made up what he would like it to look like based on his 2 favorites the Touch HD and G1. He used the Photoshop program.

    I have a g1 and I love it
Please put the keyboard on the g2
Because that’s the best thing about googke phones
They are the best of both worlds
    Its touch screen and manual
    But the keyboard is important
And please put a faster camcorder on it

i have a G1 and i love it at well as the next, but i would prefer if they did not put the slide out keyboard because i have been through about 3 of them in the last 2 years. they just seem to wear out too fast.
