The mysterious 32 GB cellphone: The 01 Phone!

T3 just discovered a website containing a brand new phone: The 01 Phone! Not sure whether the full-touch screen phone is a concept phone or an actual phone that a manufacturer is working on. However, it offers powerful specifications and features.



T3 wrote:

On an unknown (until now) website titled just www.the01phone.com, lies a handset that will blow all others out of the water. With a 5.0-megapixel camera, 3G internet, and a whopping 32GB of storage, the 01 – as it’s believed to be called – could mean the death of the Nokia N96, the BlackBerry Bold and Samsung’s INNOV8 i850.

Although T3 admitted that they don’t know about this gadget, as 3Gweek wrote, yet they dare to list its specification. Weird isn’t?

Whatever it is, it has a countdown on the homepage, with 27 days left, so let’s wait and see….

    It’s a fake. The domain is registered to Future Publishing who publish T3. Also, the T3 site on the phone’s screen is a bit of a give-away. Other ppl spotted this too and mention it in the comments on the T3 site.
    Must be some kind of publicity stunt.

    Fake or not, more amusing is the assumption that it could mean the death of the “Nokia N96, the BlackBerry Bold and Samsung’s INNOV8 i850″, with no mention of the iPhone. Anyone with half a brain can see that, as an all touch screen phone with lots of storage (presumably for media) it is actually only in direct competition with the latter – the others having their own, different niches they are targeted at… but then I guess T3 is just a magazine showcase for PR companies so you can’t expect much journalistic integrity and intelligence.

    Obviously a PR stunt by T3, Registered to Michael Brook (their editor).

    They featured a double page of it in their October Magazine, in other words they didnt have anything else to put in.

    Must’ve scared the hell into apple lol
