Telenor and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the launch of the BlackBerry solution in Denmark. The BlackBerry solution brings easy wireless access to email, phone, calendar, web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications.

“There has been a great pent up demand for the BlackBerry solution among our customers in Denmark and we are happy to announce our cooperation with RIM. The launch will take place today in parallel with our name change from Sonofon and Cybercity to Telenor. We see the launch of the BlackBerry solution as a great way of celebrating this occasion. Furthermore, we expect this offering to underscore and extend our commitment to the Nordic market as we now provide the BlackBerry solution in Sweden, Norway and Denmark,” says Henrik Skov, Vice President sales, Telenor.

At launch, Telenor will offer the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Pearl 8110 smartphones.
