San Francisco II For Orange Leaked On Video

The successor of ZTE Blade aka San Francisco smartphone is coming soon. The San Francisco budget smartphone was quite a big hit when it first launch. Now, we will see the San Francisco II which will be available late this month.

The SFII can also be known as the ZTE Crescent. The smartphone packed with a 3.5″ display, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, 5 megapixel camera with VGA front all powered by a single-core 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. It should be available on Orange’s pay monthly plans. No specific launch date yet.

Samsung & Acer Shows Off Their Unreleased Windows Phone

If we can recalled, on Tuesday Microsoft held a conference that showing off their Worldwide partnership with Acer, Fujitsu, ZTE, and Samsung. There were a bunch of unnamed devices on the stage during the presentation. The first device that was shown is Acer’s Windows Phone running WP Mango.

There’s also Fujitsu’s Windows Phone handset. It has a bright pink color and packed with water resistance capability. Follow by ZTE’s creation on WP. However, out of all the devices that been shown, audience still in amaze with Samsung’s WP handset, the Galaxy S II. Sadly, there’s no further information on those devices. But, we do have a video showing off all the products that was announced in Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference presentation.

Huawei Planning On Making Windows Phone; “Probably” Hit The Market In 2012

ZTE is preparing to make an investment on Windows Phone devices. The company’s CMO has confirmed that the WP-based device “probably” will hit the market in 2012. Exec Victor Xu told ZDNet that they “had some discussions with Microsoft” but currently they are “just watching” the market’s response to the Windows Phone platform.

Now that ZTE has jump into Windows Phone, it’s only a matter of time to see more and more manufacturer to join in with their own WP handset idea. However, as most of us might remember, Microsoft strictly gave instruction to those manufacturer that they have been working with. We just have to see and wait what will happen soon.

T-Mobile has just decided to doubling their 4G network speed to 42Mbps in 55 markets. Along with this announcement, T-Mobile also launching their newest product called the Rocket 3.0 USB data stick. The Rocket 3.0 USB data stick was made by ZTE.

The stick will be avaiable tomorrow, May 25th. The lucky 55 markets that will be able to enjoys this program immediately for $99.99 with contract 42Mbps-capable USB data stick are:

Windows Phone 7 Prototype Made By ZTE

ZTE has confessed that they are secretly have made a Windows Phone 7 prototype handset. However, they decided to not continued further to placed the handset into large production. Mainly because ZTE think Microsoft OS is still in low demand. ZTE UK also spoke to WSJ regarding their decision on the handset. It appears there is still concern on its performance.

Although, the company is not well recognized by customer. They managed to still the top five spot in the world mobile phone rankings. Some of android handsets made by ZTE received budget best-sellers.

ZTE UK director of mobile device operations, Wu Sa commented,“We have active R&D plans on the whole Windows Phone 7 platform product.” He also added, “wether we expedite that process will be driven by the market demand. … The usability of this platform in terms of its user-friendliness and the networks in terms of bringing the product to the market”.

ZTE Skate, Android Phone Inspired by a Skateboard

ZTE is bringing a new Android smartphone which inspired by skateboard. The ZTE Skate will packed with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The device will launch world wide in May. Release date for US yet to be announce.

The Skate will features a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, 800MHz CPU, Adreno 200 GPU, and 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. Check out the press released after the break.

ZTE Launches its First Phone for Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless and ZTE USA have started to offer the Verizon Wireless Salute slider phone today, comes in lightweight, 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.4-inch display and built in bluetooth. The slim slider offers up to 240 minutes of talk time and up to 220 hours of standby time on a single charge.

Available today, it is sold at $19.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.

ZTE Salute Is Heading To Verizon Wireless

Wirefly is now selling Verizon’s ZTE Salute. The Salute will be one of the first Verizon handset for the Chinese manufacturer. The handset will be available on Verizon wireless retailer stores in a few weeks.

The Salute had a 2.4-inch touch-screen display (240×320 pixels; 65,000 colors), Bluetooth, speakerphone, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a QWERTY keyboard. Also, the battery will last up to four hours of talk time and up to nine days of standby time. You can gets free ZTE Salute on Wirefly.com if you sign a new two years contract with Verizon.

MWC2009: Digicel and ZTE Launch Coral-200 Solar Powered Phone

Digicel Group and ZTE has launched the Coral-200-Solar, which will be available in selected market in June this year. The company has been providing its customer with low-cost or free portable solar chargers, now it has decided to join the solar panel integrated mobile phone.

Mr Xiong Hui, VP of ZTE’s handset division says: “As mobile phones continue to proliferate in emerging markets and are widely used where electricity is available, mobile operators are demanding more innovative handsets. We are confident that the Digicel Coral-200-Solar is such a product and that solar power technology can be used in any type of handset. We are pleased to provide this handset with Digicel and Intivation. It will help millions of consumers worldwide to use mobile phones more conveniently and the technology is more environment-friendly.”

Detail specifications of Coral-200-Solar is not available at the moment.

ZTE to Unveil Complete Range of Smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2009

ZTE is to unveil a full portfolio of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2009. 10 different designs will be on display, including customized handsets for Vodafone and China Mobile. The VF 1231 model will be the highlight of ZTE’s showcase which has been developed especially for Vodafone. The smartphone has been approved y FCC and is based on Windows Mobile platform and has a single chip for GSM and EDGE. ZTE’s range of smartphones is based on the latest operating systems including Linux (Android?) and Windows Mobile.

ZTE’s smartphones range from low to high-end handsets. Latest models include the ‘XIANG’ series of 3.5G super slim HSDPA/HSUPA handsets, the e760 (a GSM-based handset custom-made for China Mobile) and the D820/D810 (a CDMA-based handset custom-made for China Telecom). Also, ZTE will be displaying the U981, a top-end smartphone that was deployed by China Mobile during the Beijing Olympic Games.
