ZTE Corporation announced the U990 device, the world's first HSDPA TD-SCDMA mobile handset. The new handset was first unveiled last week and is ZTE's third TD-SCDMA (China's 3G Network) mobile handset model. The new model supports dual mode TD-SCDMA/EDGE allowing seamless transitions between the two networks.
