Apparently Sony Ericsson Xperia is not set to be exclusive with the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile platform. Will the future Xperia devices use Symbian or Android platform? Unfortunately, the joint venture of Japan’s Sony and Sweden’s Ericsson was reluctant to reveal any details.

Digitimes has confirmed that HTC will start to ship the Android-based phone in Q4 this year. According to the company CFO Hui-ming Cheng, HTC has already got its Touch Diamond smartphone on sale in more than 30 countries since its first launches in June.

Handango newsletter revealed that Sony Ericsson’s much-anticipated XPERIA X1 will launch with Handango’s InHand service on the device in mid-September 2008.
