At the Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson unveils four new panels for its Xperia X1 windows phone. Available to download from mid-march March 2009, the latest panels include a new CNN panel, Skype panel, Mytopia panel and ‘On the Road’ panel.

The new version is v3.34, packed with additional features like file transfer, receive gmail notification, improved add-ons, improved user interface and bug fixes. It can now also support the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 and Samsung Omnia.

Sony Ericsson to switch smartphone partner from HTC to Mobinnova

HTC is no longer partner for  Sony Ericsson in term of Xperia X1’s outsourcing project (and seems the Taiwan-based phone manufacturer should keep their hands full with Google’s Android phone). The Japan-Sweden venture plans to outsource its second Windows Mobile-based smartphone to Taiwan-based Mobinnova, a handset maker under Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry).

Rumor: BestBuy to Sell Sony Ericsson Xperia x1a Next Month
