Palm Pre to Launch in Mexico with Telcel

Palm and Telcel today announced that the Palm Pre phone is scheduled to be available Nov. 27 in Mexico on the Telcel network. Palm Pre, which is currently available in North America (United States and Canada) and Europe (the UK, Ireland, Germany and Spain), features a 3.1-inch touch screen, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5mm headphone jack and a physical keyboard that slides out only when needed.

Sprint Palm Pixi Available from November 15

Officially announced last month, Sprint today has confirmed that it will start offering Palm Pixi from November 15. The Palm Pixi comes in a candybar design with hardware QWERTY keyboard. It will cost $99.99 with a two-year service agreement, after a $50 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate.

A new Facebook application will be available with Palm Pixi, so users can see and comment on all the latest news from friends and easily update their status. Palm Pixi features an exposed full QWERTY keyboard, multi-touch screen and a durable, removable rubberized back cover. Palm Pre GSM First Goes On Sale in Germany

Few months after the CDMA version launched on Sprint network, the Palm Pre for GSM network is finally launched and offered by O2 in Germany. It is available for 481 euro without contract, with optional add-on of value added services like data plan. Alternatively, the company also offers a 24 months installment with 20 euro monthly payment.

The Palm Pre was the first webOS smartphone, it will also be offered in UK via O2 this week (October 16th) according to the pricing list below.

Palm Pixi GSM Made its First Appearance

Not official announced for GSM yet, the Palm Pixi GSM is leaked on tinhte forum, but is 2GB less memory than the Sprint’s CDMA version. The Palm Pixi is the second webOS smartphone from Palm , check out a hands on video here on the CDMA version for more detail on its hardware.

O2 to launch Palm Pre in the UK on 16 October

Finally, the lauch date of the Palm Pre GSM has been announced week, which will be sold by O2 in UK from October 16th next month. The Palm Pre was the first webOS smartphone, it is already available in US via Sprint in CDMA version.

Palm Pre is free to O2 customers taking out a 24-month contract and to customers taking an 18-month contract at £44.05 or £73.41 per month. All customers will receive unlimited UK data browsing over O2’s HSDPA network and unlimited access to 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots through both The Cloud and now BT Openzone.

Rumor: O2 Germany to Sell GSM Palm Pre Soon?

Although the GSM Palm Pre was spotted in early this year during the Mobile World Congress, it looks like it will be finally launched by few service providers in Europe soon. The GSM version had already officially announced for UK, Ireland, Germany and Spain, and now the O2 Germany has put up the email notification page on their site. According to nimsso from PreCentral, he called up O2 and was told that he could make the pre-order 2 weeks later, which will be first week of October. We should be able to see the GSM Palm Pre by October or November?

Palm today introduced the Palm Pixi phone, featuring the new Palm webOS platform with its thin body design and a full QWERTY keyboard. Announced for CDMA network, it’s scheduled to be available exclusively from Sprint in this quarter. Also known as Palm EOS/Pixie previously in a rumor, there is no news for a GSM Palm Pixi at the moment.

The Palm Pre phone is now exclusively available at Bell stores and retail partner locations across Canada, costs as little as $199.95 on a three-year contract or $599.95 without a contract with a minimum 500 MB data plan.

Bell today announced that the new Palm Pre phone will be exclusively available in Canada at Bell Mobility on August 27. The company has start accepting pre-order through bell.ca/pre, it will be available from $199.95 on a three-year contract or
$599.95 without a contract with a minimum 500 MB data plan.

Bell smartphone clients can choose from a wide variety of voice and data plans, including Smartphone Combos that offer unlimited Internet browsing, personal email, text messaging and Windows Live Messenger.
