A week ago we have seen the internal training document leaked regarding Palm Pre 2 arrival to Verizon Wireless in the future. But today, the folks from Droid-Life received some information on it from their sources. They mention the confirmation on the handset heads to Verizon “in the coming months.”

We are expecting the device will be stock in Verizon shelves on November 11th. Palm Pre 2 can be referred as the introduction of webOS 2.0. It also will compliment many new features compared the old Palm. If the informant was right, we have less than a month to wait for its arrival.

While the basic hardware design of the upcoming Palm Pre 2 to remain the same as Palm Pre, Palm Pre 2 will be the first to run the HP/Palm’s webOS 2.0 and has an upgraded 1GHz CPU.

Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1 Beta – With version 2.0, webOS now supports a beta of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 in the browser, which provides access to rich, Flash based web content.

Favorites – With webOS 2.0, you can tag your favorite contacts so they appear as favorites in Phone and Contacts views. When you search for them by name, they instantly show up at the top of the Contacts, Email, Messaging and Phone apps. Favorites make it simple to get in touch fast.

Skype Mobile™ (Verizon Wireless only) – For Verizon Wireless customers, webOS 2.0 supports Skype-to-Skype calls and messaging while in the United States to anywhere in the world, and low-rate calls to international landlines and cell phones.

App Catalog – The redesigned Palm App Catalog makes finding and discovering great apps even easier.(7) And the new Software Manager helps you keep your apps up-to-date.

The surprising news on the device was there won’t be any physical QWERTY keyboard. It’s very odd because the webOS was originally optimized for a handset with a keyboard. But again, new innovation doesn’t sounds bad at all. We assumed the codename Mansion probably just an internal convention.

Palm today announced that the Palm Pixi Plus phone will be available in Spain with Vodafone on May 10. Palm Pre GSM is not going together with the Pixi Plus, making the Pixi Plus the only WebOS smartphone in Spain.

“We are excited to bring the Palm Pixi Plus to Spain for Vodafone customers. Consumers will be able to benefit from the unprecedented power and ease of use afforded them with the award-winning Palm webOS experience,” said Katie Mitic, senior vice president, Product Marketing, Palm, Inc. “With Pixi Plus, customers across Spain will be able to get more done by staying connected and never missing a thing.”

“This agreement with Palm is a great opportunity for Vodafone Spain. Our customers will now have a wider range of smartphone models that provide mobility solutions for their professional needs but also allow them to leverage the advantages of the phone’s leisure features,” said Ignacio Román, Mobiles Business director, Vodafone Iberia.

As Palm’s thinnest phone to date, Pixi Plus fits easily in your hand or pocket and offers a host of powerful features. It’s great for work and also for social communicators who want an affordable phone with a touchscreen and a full QWERTY keyboard instantly accessible for messaging and web content. With the Palm Pixi Touchstone(TM) Back Covers and the Palm Pixi Artist Series Back Covers, which are compatible with the Touchstone Charging Dock, you can easily switch covers to suit your mood and style (all sold separately at www.palm.com/es).

Pixi Plus showcases the defining features of Palm webOS(TM), including the ability to run multiple applications simultaneously and easily move between them; the power of Palm Synergy(TM), which brings customers’ information from the many places it resides into a single, more comprehensive view; unobtrusive notifications; and universal search.(1) Palm webOS also has a unique model of over-the-air software updates that delivers new features and performance improvements directly to a user’s phone. Past updates have included support for video recording, allowing webOS customers to use their phones in fun, new ways.
