Orange brings the LG GD910 Watchphone to UK

Orange is bringing the LG Touchscreen Watchphone (LG-GD910) to UK after France, the company will start selling the watchphone in its Bond Street Station shop on Thursday, 27th August. Available for a limited time only, consumers will be able to purchase at the exclusive price point of £500.

Available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and one device per customer to those who arrive in person at the store – the handmade 3G+ watchphone will guarantee those fortunate enough to purchase one that they’ll turn heads on the high street. The device’s slick scratch resistant touch-screen interface makes writing text messages easy, while an in-built speaker and MP3/AAC player lets you listen to the Essential James Bond theme album when you’re imprisoned in a fake volcano or battling with Jaws. A limited number of the devices will also be made available from mid-September via the Orange online shop.

With its 1.43” tempered glass touchscreen, this slimline - less than 14mm thick - elegant watchphone with fold fastening strap has all the features you expect of a watch (world clock, stopwatch and splash resistant – IPX4 standard). Voice recognition features, which can be used with or without a Bluetooth headset, make it easier to place calls and look up contacts. The phone also includes stereo Bluetooth and a built-in speaker for playing back music files.

Samsung S9110 Claims the Slimmest Watch Phone, but without 3G

While the LG GD910 watch phone is coming to some europe countries next month, Samsung has further slimming the watch phone with its S9110 which features a 11.98mm thickness compare to 13.9mm thickness on GD910. Compatible with GSM dualband (900/1900 MHZ) network, the Samsung S9110 has a 1.76-inch touch screen for touch input, bluetooth and speakerphone. According to the press releases, the S9110 will cost around 450 euro ($639) when it is first introduced in France this month.

LG GD910 Watch Phone Available Next Month

To be sold first in Europe, LG has confirmed that it will start to deliver the watch phone in July next month. Orange will be offering the watch phone to its subscribers and it will be followed by consumer market in Asia, Middle East, Australia and Latin America.

Featuring a GSM Quadband network compatibility, the LG GD910 is also equipped with a full touchscreen interface, 3G capabilities (7.2 Mbps HSDPA) and video calling. The Watch Phone has a curved tempered glass face, high quality metal casing and is a mere 13.9mm thick.

Voice recognition features, which can be used with or without a Bluetooth headset, make it easier to place calls and look up contacts. Text to Speech (TTS) reads text messages and other information out loud for even greater convenience. The phone also includes stereo Bluetooth and a built-in speaker for playing back music files. A large phonebook and scheduler help with organization.

CTIA2009: Neutrano Wristfone On its Way to US

AT CTIA Wireless, Neutrano has confirmed to launch its new watch phone, called Wristfone, in US this year. Can be used with GSM network, the Wristfone will comes with a built in 2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, music player and available in 2 designs. The company plans to sell the watch phone at 399 USD each when available in June this year.

With the limited battery capacity and space on the Wristfone, Neutrano has managed to put in a USB connector, microSD card slot, speaker phone, touch screen and a 512MB internal memory. It will also give you a 3 days standby time, and up to 4 hours of talk time.

Hyundai Mobile to Launch MB-910 Mobile Watch Phone by Q2 in UK

Already available in some regions in Europe, Hyundai Mobile UK has confirme that the MB-910 mobile watch phone will be available in the UK by the late-2nd quarter of this year. The MB-910 phone watch weighs just 58g, it enables talk-time of up to three hours and up to 70 hours on standby. With a Bluetooth headset included in the price, the MB-910 enables users to talk hands-free (or directly to the phone the phone itself). This wristwatch-style mobile phone, is Tri-Band enabling it to work internationally.

Hyundai Mobile UK expects the MB-910 to retail for a competitively priced: £200 SIM free.

The Watch Phone has a curved tempered glass face, high quality metal casing and is a mere 13.9mm thick. It is the first touch watch phone in the world to feature 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA compatibility, enabling high-speed data transmission and video phone calls using the built-in camera.

LG did not sacrifice functionality in favor of size and the Watch Phone is fully capable of sending text messages, making phone calls, and, of course, keeping accurate time. This is all achieved using the phone’s touchscreen interface on its 3.63cm (1.43-inch) screen and LG’s intuitive Flash Interface.

LG has officially unveiled its new Touch Watch Phone (LG-GD910) with 3G video calls supported and GSM Quadband network capabilities. AT just 13.9 mm thickness, this wearable phone is a follow-up to the prototype that LG introduced at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008 and includes a number of upgrades, including a full touchscreen interface, 3G capabilities and video calling. The GD910 will be first launched in Europe this year.

Voice recognition features, which can be used with or without a Bluetooth headset, make it easier to place calls and look up contacts. The phone also includes stereo Bluetooth and a built-in speaker for playing back music files. A large phonebook and scheduler help with organization.

LG has announced that it has made its concept watch phone into reality and planned to present its new LG GD910 watch phone in the coming CES 2009 events. The GD910 is one of the first 3G watch phones, supporting 7.2 Mbps HSDPA wireless data connection with a secondary video camera for video calls. With the helps of the touch UI, user input can be done through the watch phone’s touch screen. It can also do speech recognition for input via voice. Detail specification is not available except a 13.9mm body thickness, LG will be first launching the watch phone in Europe with an unknown schedule.

Sony Ericsson launches MBW-200 Bluetooth watches

Dear ladies, this is another stylish gadget for you. Sony Ericsson has announced the MBW-200, the female version of its MBW-150 Bluetooth watches.

The Sony Ericsson MBW-200 wristwatches feature a small monochrome OLED display and connect to your cell phone via Bluetooth. The watch is then able to display your incoming caller ID, as well as alert you to new text messages, emails, and even calendar alarms.

Designed to only work with Sony Ericsson cell phones, it’s available in three distinct styles: Sparkling Allure, Contemporary Elegance and Evening Classic. Despite it’s aimed towards ladies, but I think it’s also nice used by gentlemen, isn’t it?

No information about it pricing, though availability is planned for Q4 2008.
