ATT and Sony Ericsson Finally Bringing C905a Cyber-Shot and W518a Walkman to US

AT&T and Sony Ericsson announced the Sony Ericsson C905a Cyber-shot and the W518a Walkman, both will be available in AT&T stores from July 19. The Sony Ericsson C905a will be available for $179.99 and the W518a for $49.99, both after mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement. (For the C905a, pay $ 229.99 and after mail-in rebate receive $50 AT&T Promotion Card. For the W518a, pay $99.99 and after mail-in rebate receive $50 AT&T Promotion Card.)

Boasting an impressive 8.1 megapixel camera and advanced features such as face detection, autofocus, xenon flash and GPS tagging, the C905a Cyber- shot camera phone has a Memory Stick Micro (M2) storage for your photos storage. The USB connection also enables easy printing from the C905a directly to PictBridge compatible printers. BestPic technology captures seven successive photos with one click, allowing the shooter to choose only the best photos to keep. The Smart Contrast feature compensates for areas that are too bright or dark.

The C905a is also loaded with an array of multimedia offerings, including AT&T Video Share, video recording, AT&T Music, FM radio, Mobile Email, AT&T Navigator and instant messaging. With AT&T Video Share, consumers can share their summer experiences in real-time streaming video.

The W518a Walkman phone is the total package in personalized entertainment, revealing a new way to use Facebook®, conversational messaging, highly interactive music features, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. In addition to Shake Control for music, Gesture Control technology lets users reject incoming calls or send the alarm to snooze with just a wave of the hand over the W518a’s camera lens.

New Sony Ericsson Twiggy that you might never see it

Remember the classic Sony Ericsson W350 announced in 2008? A leaked clamshell phone called Twiggy is said to be its successor, but will never appear in the market because the company has cancelled the project according to the source at esato forum. Comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, the Twiggy is branded with walkman phone and a music player control buttons on the clamshell cover. The Twiggy was first heard in October 2008, and it has even appeared officially in one of the Sony Ericsson press photo in March this year. More pictures after the cut.

Available in Taiwan now, Sony Ericsson W350 clamshell phone is added with a soft pink color. At just 10 mm thin, the W350 was announced and on sale in 2008. With Walkman on Top, key MP3 functions including Play, Pause and Scroll are outside the phone’s flip cover so you can use it just like you would a standalone MP3 player. Rumor: Sony Ericsson Twiggy Spotted in Official Press Photos

With the announcement of the new Sony Ericsson MS500 bluetooth speaker today, an unannounced Sony Ericsson walkman phone has been spotted in the company’s official press photo. According to semcblog, the walkman phone is the successor of W350, which is an unique clamshell phone announced early last year.

According to a device profile xml file on Sony Ericsson website, the company is planning to add a built in aGPS chipset for the W508 clamshell phone. The upgraded model will be called W518a with a similar design as W508. The W508 has already equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA and memory card slot.

First leaked by semcblog last week, Sony Ericsson today has revealed its new W995 walkman phone with an optimised video playback style. The slider phone comes with a 8.1 megapixel camera, built in Wi-Fi, 2.6-inch display screen and support YouTube. The W995 walkman phone is also the first Sony Ericsson phone that featuring a new software called Media Go, providing an easy and convenient way of transfering any audio, photos and videos between your phone and computer. Media Go can be used to rip your Music CD and convert video format to fit your mobile phone video format.

“With Media Go there’s no need to worry about format, resolution and ‘frame per second’ anymore.” said Alexandre Cardon, Global Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson. “No longer will the video you transferred from your PC to your phone play in low resolution or bad quality. With Media Go and the W995 the experience is as good on your phone as it was on your PC.”

Set the phone on its built-in stand and watch videos with your friends while you pump up the volume on the powerful built-in stereo speakers. Depends on your regional market, the W995 will be sold together with the HPM-77 headphone or HPM-88 noise cancelling headset. A 8GB memory card will be included together with the retail package.

The W995 Walkman supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UTMS/HSPA 900/2100. W995 will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Progressive Black, Cosmic Silver and Energetic Red.

Codename Yao, a new Sony Ericsson walkman phone has been leaked on a chinese website today. The slider phone should be W395, comes with a dual speaker design, 2 megapixel camera, 2-inch display screen with 176 x 220 pixels, bluetooth and memory card slot. According to the source, the W395 does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack as well and will be announced in either February or March.
