Verizon Wireless has just added the BlackBerry Curve 8330 and the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphones in pink color. You can order the pink BlackBerry Curve online at www.verizonwireless.com or in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores now and it will be in stores on August 15. The pink BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is currently available in stores and online.

Verizon Wireless and Vodafone has completed its purchase of Rural Cellular Corporation, doing business as Unicel, for $2.66 billion in cash and assumed debt. The acquisition will expand Verizon Wireless' network coverage to many rural markets around the country and increases the company's customers by more than 625,000.

Qwest Communications is now offering Verizon Wireless services to all new residential and business customers in its residential service area. Through the five-year agent agreement announced earlier this year, new Qwest customers can now purchase Verizon Wireless products and services, including handsets, smartphones and BlackBerry devices, as well as high-speed wireless broadband services for e-mail, Internet access and multimedia services.
