Verizon Wireless is going to announce Samsung Glyde SCH-U940 today, which is another slider phone with a horizontal QWERTY keyboard. The fashion Glyde do not support vcast TV though. It will be sold at $249 with a 2 years contract and after a $50 rebate. Check out the product photo shot here.

Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) and Verizon Wireless announced today they have signed a 5-year agreement for Qwest to market and sell Verizon Wireless service beginning this summer. Financial terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

As expected, Verizon Wireless XV6900 is available from the company's online store beginning today. The XV6900 is available for $349.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. An additional $100 credit toward the purchase of the handset is available for customers who sign up for qualifying voice and data plans at the time of purchase.

Verizon Wireless announced the availability tomorrow of three new Nationwide Messaging plans that will allow customers to use unlimited messaging on their wireless handsets. The new plans do not require an accompanying voice plan and are designed to meet the needs of customers who primarily rely on messaging to communicate with others.
