However, the carrier is warning users to be more cautious about using their train journey as an extension of their office.  In recent research Vodafone carried out, more than 70-percent of the 2,000 travellers questioned said they discussed business matters while in public carriages; 20-percent of those confessed to talking about business-critical subjects, such as sales leads, and 15-percent said they had spoken about confidential new products or services.

More worrying is the fact that 26-percent of those questioned admitted to following up business leads overheard in other people’s conversations.
