The launch of commercial LTE service in the DFW metroplex follows Las Vegas as cities where MetroPCS is offering 4G LTE service, with additional major metropolitan areas to follow later this year and in early 2011.

The Samsung Gravity T, model number T669, features TouchWiz User Interface (UI), a resistive touchscreen, access to T-Mobile’s 3G network, a landscape full QWERTY keyboard, Samsung’s Dolphin browser, and a 2MP camera on the back.

The Samsung Gravity 3, model number T479, is coming in two variations of color: rum and indigo. It’s got access to T-Mobile’s 3G network, a 2MP camera, and a QVGA display. It has the standard numeric keypad on the front, but it also has a landscape sliding keyboard for those with a messaging focus.

And finally, the Samsung (Smile), model number T359. Yes, the name of the device is the Samsung . The handset features a full HTML browser, the ability to sync with ActiveSync Exchange email, and has a 1.3MP camera on the back. It is a portrait slider, also featuring a full QWERTY keyboard. All three devices, as we said, are coming on June 23rd, but no word on pricing quite yet.

The handset itself is available right now if you’re into that kind of thing. If you spend the money, you’ll get access to a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface (UI), music player, Bluetooth capability, access to 3G, and a 2MP camera on the back.

It’s not a smartphone. And no, it’s not going to rock your world, but if you’re into messaging everyone you know, the landscape slider is probably something you’ll want to look at. And, at only $49.95 after a new, two-year contract, it’s definitely not hard on the wallet, either.

While we’ve shown you the Samsung Monte in the past, this one takes its cues obviously from the Iron Man franchise. The color scheme of the device doesn’t actually seem to match anything, but, we won’t hold that against them. So, what’s different? Nothing, really. The Samsung Monte Iron Man Edition is the same exact phone, physically. The only difference is the MicroSD card preloaded inside, which has the original Iron Man movie already on board. So, you can watch it anywhere you go, whenever you see fit.

The Samsung Monte features a 3-inch WQVGA LCD capacitive touchscreen, and has a 3.2MP camera on the back. It’s your standard touch-based feature phone, but includes things like GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth for good measure. It’s also featuring Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface, but no surprise there. There’s a limited amount of the devices, and it goes on sale on May 1st, so if you’re interested, you may want to wake up early.

Bluetooth 3.0 gets its speed from the 802.11 radio protocol. The inclusion of the 802.11 Protocol Adaptation Layer (PAL) provides increased throughput of data transfers at the approximate rate of 24 Mbps. In addition, mobile devices including Bluetooth 3.0 will realize increased power savings due to enhanced power control built in.
