Samsung announced that sales of the Samsung Star S5230 surpassed the 5-million mark this month. The Star (model number S5230), launched in May, is the fastest model in Samsung’s history to reach the milestone.

AT&T and Samsung Mobile announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung Solstice, a compact candybar phone with full touch screen phone that provides users with an instant connection to social networking, messaging and multimedia features. Reported on MobileCrunch, they have got official response from Samsung that the Samsung i8910 will not carry the Omnia branding anymore so that it could keep the Omnia branding for Windows Mobile series. Note that Samsung is still running the Omnia HD promotional website here, and it was still using the Samsung Omnia HD branding last week at CTIA Wireless.
