Optimus Black Will Be Available In White Via Telus

The LG Optimus Black was launch in summer for the Canadian folks. Now, the handset is coming in white color exclusively for Telus.

However, it would have the exact same specs such as a 5 megapixel camera, unlimited Skype-to-Skype calling and a 4-inch IPS display. As for pricing, the device will cost the same with contact.

Samsung Hercules Image Goes Out

Some of us might have know, the Samsung Galaxy S II is heading to Telus as the Samsung Hercules. Today, we got to see the device more closely along with its benchmarks result. The handset looks like a mix and match between the Nexus S and Galaxy S II.

This picture was posted by MobileSyrup. As you can see above, the handset has score 3300+ on the benchmark. The Hercules features 4.5-inch touchscreen display and 1.2 Ghz dual-core.

Telus Roadmap Leaked

Telus internal document on their upcoming devices has been leaked. One of the device will be BlackBerry Bold 9900. The device will be available starting August 15th in North America.

The BlackBerry Torch 9860 is heading to Telus in August 22nd. Followed by the BlackBerry Curve Apollo on August 29th. The BlackBerry Orlando, BlackBerry Bellagio, the unannounced Sony Ericsson Urishi ST18a will be available in October 1st. The Samsung Cooper (Galaxy Ace) will land on October 15th.

Telus Getting LG Optimus Black And Optimus Chat

Telus is adding their Android line up handsets. This time they are getting both the LG Optimus Black and the Optimus Chat. The Optimus Black will be Telus’s Skype phone and it will come with some credit, a shortcut to install the app, and finally direct billing in case you need more credit.

The Optimus Black features a 1 GHz OMAP 3630 processor, has a 5 megapixel camera on the back, 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G. Sadly, it’s still runs on Froyo.

On the other hand, we got the Optimus Chat. The device has a 2.8-inch 320 x 240 touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera on the back, and 600 MHz processor. It also run on Android 2.2. Check out the video on both devices coming to Telus.

Telus Will be Offering HTC Desire HD

Telus is getting the HTC Desire HD. The device will cost you $149.99 with a three-years agreement or $499.99 without any commitment. The device pre-loaded with Android 2.2 aka Froyo and HTC Sense UI.

It has 4.3-inch display which closely with the EVO 4G. There’s also the 8MP camera, 1GHz processor, and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities. Not only that, it comes with 1 GHz processor which allows you to enjoy the download speeds up to 14.4 Mbps.

Before we are going any further, Best Buy is also offering a “Future Proof” Buy Back program. It allows you to exchange Best Buy devices that you purchase with a brand new devices.

Now, back to Free Phone Fridays. The three phones that Best Buy will offered are the Galaxy S Fascinate with Telus, the Galaxy S Captivate on Rogers, and the Galaxy S Vibrant with Bell.

The folks in Canada now can get BlackBerry device off-contract with decent price. Telus is now offering the BalckBerry Pearl 3G for only $200 without contract. But of course, you can obtained the device for free with contract.

Featuring a 2.26-inch display screen with resolution of 400 x 360px, a 3.2MP camera, and microSD slot (up to 16 GB) with included 2GB memory card. There’s two different colors to choose from, which are black and feminine pink.

Nexus S Heading to Canada Via Mobilicity

Nexus S is heading to Canada via Mobilicity. Dave Dobbin, the CEO of Mobilicity said the Android 2.3 power handset will be available on the company’s AWS band. However, he did mention several others carriers such as Bell, Telus, and Rogers will also be carrying the Nexus S.

The coming of Nexus S to Canada is equivalent as the coming of Gingerbread to Canada. Now, the Canadian folks can get their hands on Android 2.3 OS. Take a peek at the video below.

Telus Launches LG Shine Plus (Ally) Follows By Samsung Galaxy Apollo Arrival

The Canadian folks will received two Android devices in a short period. Telus is launching LG Shine Plus (Ally) and yet to be follow by Samsung Galaxy Apollo. Interestingly, both device runs with Android 2.1.

The LG Shine Plus has a 3.2 inch WVGA touchscreen display, full QWERTY keyboard, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP autofocus camera, and MicroSD card support. It will cost $69.99 with 3 years contract agreement and $299.99 without it. It’s now available online.

The Samsung Galaxy Apollo has a 3 inch HVGA screen and features 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Swype virtual keyboard, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3.2MP autofocus camera. There are no details regarding the price.

T-Mobile to Launch Motorola Charm On August 25th

T-Mobile has just share some information on Twitter that saying they will be carrying Motorola Charm starts on August 25th. They also mention that the handset will be affordable. There are rumors about T-Mobile giving away the Motorola Charm for free with two years contract, but unfortunately its not true.

The Motorola Charm features QWERTY Android device with a Kodak-branded 3 megapixel cam and landscape display. The handset will cost $74.99 with contract. Check out the Telus’s Motorola Charm video.
