Samsung today announced a contract with TeliaSonera to provide Long Term Evolution (LTE) usb devices for its new mobile broadband service in Sweden and Norway next year. Ericsson and TeliaSonera have unveiled the world's first commercial Long- Term Evolution (LTE) site in Stockholm, Sweden. LTE enables unprecedented performance in terms of peak data rates, spectrum efficiency and delay. Ericsson has already demonstrated peak rates of 160Mbps.

Ericsson and TeliaSonera today announced the signing of a commercial LTE network. This network will cover Sweden's capital Stockholm and the contract is Ericsson's first for commercial deployment of LTE. The new 4G network will do for broadband what mobile telephony did for voice. F-Secure and Nokia are bringing their solutions to TeliaSonera to facilitate effective mobile device management for the SME segment. TeliaSonera will provide device management for SMEs as a hosted service for its enterprise customers. The Managed Device -solution combines the Nokia Intellisync Device Management platform and F-Secure Mobile Security solution, which together enable security for the company's entire mobile fleet.

TeliaSonera is the next telco that announced the release of iPhone for its network. The company has signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia later this year.
