A Swiss Watchmaker called TAG Heuer has made an android smartphone that will dry your wallet. The device itself cost you 4700€ which equivalent to $6700. The handset is constructed with 316L Stainless steel, Gold, Diamonds, Black PVD, Titanium, Rubber, Calfskin leather, Carbon leather, Alligator and Lizard skin.

The device packed with Android 2.2 aka Froyo and a “bar type” touchscreen form factor which is similar to Candybar. As for the connectivity, you will get the Edge & HSUPA working with 3G, has 4 Band GSM/Tri Band WCDMA, AGPS, Wifi, WAPI, and stereo Bluetooth.

The handset come pre-installed with Google Search app, Google maps, Gmail, YouTube, and E-Blogger. It features a 3.5-inch TFT LCD, 5-megapixels camera, and 1400 mAh battery. You can used the device to see JPEG, GIF, and BMP images. Not only that, you can also listen to sounds file such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, RA, and WMA. SMS, MMS, and email.

Luxury TAG Heuer Meridiist phone is official

TAG Heuer announced their own luxury cell phone brand, the Meridiist. The TAG Heuer Meridiist Black Diamond features 1.9 inch QVGA sapphire crystal displays, 2MP cameras, secondary OLED displays at the top, and 2GB of internal memory. The exterior of the TAG Heuer Meridiist Black Diamond is PVD-coated and also made out of 316L stainless steel, 1.34-carat diamonds, 18-carat pink gold, and lizard leather. Meanwhile, The TAG Heuer Meridiist Stainless steel & Rose Gold is also shimmer with 18-carat pink gold, stainless steel and leather (alligator), but the difference is that there is no diamond. Finally, The Meridiist Python Gold Dust, there are diamonds (1.3 carats) that mixes with gold, python leather, and East African green garnet. Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini Luxury Phone

In tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded, TAG Heuer has teamed up with Lamborghini to produce 1963 pieces of Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini luxury candybar.

Housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel, the design of the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone references the super sports car down to its famed signature on the battery cover – the same as on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640′s V12 engine block. The back of the device is engraved with its limited edition number while the keyboard is customized with Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button. The display is made from 60.5 carats of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Its battery life is unrivalled and offers a seven hours talk time or 28 days standby power.

The TAG Heuer MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone will be available in November at selected TAG Heuer and Lamborgini retailers.

TAG Heuer Meridiist Got Pictured in FCC

Available in second half of 2008, the first TAG Heuer mobile phone, the Meridiist has just got FCC approved. TAG Heuer is working together with ModeLabs Group to design, produce and market mobile phones under the TAG Heuer label. The two companies has assigned its teams of designers and watch developers to this project for a full three years, thereby creating a full range of entirely “tailor-made” mobile phones and related accessories.

Other than a standard 1.9-inch QVGA display screen in front, the Tag Heuer Meridiist also has an unique OLED display on top of the phone body. The OLED display screen will provide different useful information for easy access of phone status.
