Just few days after the root access to the T-Mobile G1's Android OS has been found, the Android team has quickly push up the RC30 software patch to close up the security loophole. Not all T-Mobile G1 users has received the update notification yet, but some users have chose to ignore this update to put the root access remain open.

Meebo has made a post on their blog that the company has just released an instant Messaging software for the new T-Mobile G1. The software is free and can be downloaded from Android Market directly from your T-Mobile G1.

Reported on Commercial Times newspaper in Taiwan, HTC will only start to ship its Android G1 google smartphone in first half of 2009. For those who live in Asia, it means you might need to wait another 6 months more till you see your local service providers rolling out the Android smartphone by HTC.

While most of the T-Mobile G1 users have got notified on the new Android firmware update (version RC29) on their G1, some users have not receive the OTA update notification and choose to upgrade the firmware manually through a method discovered on xda-developers forum.

The T-Mobile G1 went on sale in the UK today, exclusive to T-Mobile. The T-Mobile G1 is available for free on T-Mobile Combi and Flext price plans from Pounds Sterling 40 a month, including unlimited mobile internet browsing.

Non-T-Mobile users can also use the T-Mobile G1 with the unlocking services available now. Android Community is running a giveaway of 3 unlock codes where you can unlock the T-Mobile G1 and use it on any GSM network. If you are needing a soft keyboard for your new T-Mobile G1, Android has released a roadmap which include the soft keyboard feature on Q1 2009. When the Input method framework and Input method engines is complete, you will be able to use the soft keyboad from Android, plus application developers can develop new soft keyboard application for the Android OS.
