The long await for those who have been wanting the DROID R2-D2 is now officially offer. Verizon has launched the device in their website for pre-order. As you can see on the picture, the handset will cost $249 after $100 (this time online discount) with a full retail price of $699.

Yesterday, our folks from Androidcommunity have done the unboxing and hands-on video. In there they mention that the device comes with a special Star Wars themed multimedia dock, Motorola headphones, 8 GB SD card, and some exclusive content pre-loading on the device itself. Apparently, the device will linger for awhile.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed goes live on N-Gage

Great, this game came out on time. According to AAS, the Star Wars: Force Unleashed is now available from the N-Gage application’s showroom.

This game takes place shortly after the events of the film Star Wars Episode III. You play Darth Vader’s apprentice, who must help destroy all of the remaining Jedi as ordered by the Emperor. The gameplay involves a lot of combat, but with an unusual interface that uses the phone’s keypad to make particular shapes.
