What’s Next, It’s Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android Smartphone

Famously known as Sony Ericsson Rachael and Xperia X3, Sony Ericsson has officially introduced its first Android smartphone with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Just like what we have already saw in the videos, new user interface is used on the X10, mainly split to Sony Ericsson Timescape and Sony Ericsson Mediascape. The Xperia X10 will be available in selected markets from Q1 in the colours Sensuous Black and Luster White. For now, it is said to use an older Android 1.6 Donut. Will they not use Android 2.0 Eclair by Q1 2010?

Sony Ericsson Timescape will manage all your communication with one person in one place. Browse through your conversations to check out your Facebook, Twitter, photos, emails, and texts all in one go. The Sony Ericsson Mediascape can be used to organise the music, photos and videos you have.

While there is no mention of the Google Maps Navigation service supports, the Xperia X10 will comes with a Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation solution in limited trial period before you have to make a purchase. It will also include a 8GB microSD card. It supports GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 900/1700/2100 and UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900/2100.

Remember the first video about the Sony Ericsson custom UI for Android OS? Here is another leak video, demoing Sony Ericsson MediaScape user interface for viewing/playing your photos/videos/songs and managing your media files. As what the video stated, this user interface is just a concept video for internal use, its final version might be different when the company announce the Xperia X3/X10 on coming November 3rd.

Sony Ericsson Made Xperia X3/X10 Official on YouTube

Just 2 more days (November 3rd) till the official Xperia X3/X10 press event “What’s Next“, Sony Ericsson has started to promote its first Android smartphone on YouTube. It is not sure how many new products will be announced, but at least the new Xperia X3 or might be called Xperia X10 will be unveiled.

The video posted on YouTube did not reveal much on the specifications detail. Though, you can spot some of its hardware design in the video like USB connector with a cover, 3.5mm headphone jack, volume control buttons, camera button and power button.

The first Android smartphone from Sony Ericsson will be called Xperia X3 or Xperia X10. It should also comes with a big 4-inch touch screen in WVGA resolution, 8 megapixel camera, built in WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and support dualband 900/2100MHz HSDPA / HSUPA network.

Rumor: Sony Ericsson Rachael Named Xperia X10 Officially?

With the Sony Ericsson Rachael confirmed its November 3rd launch date, a video posted on YouTube is revealing the official product brochures with the Android Smartphone model name called Xperia X10. It is no way to prove that if the video is not fake, check out the video below.

Not exactly stated on the company website, new Sony Ericsson event page called “What’s Next” is available today with its next press event schedule. The page’s source code is pointing at a project codename “Rachael”, which has been known as Sony Ericsson first Android smartphone. This is also confirmed by Sony Ericsson South Africa’s twitter page for the new Project Rachael.

Previous rumor was correct on the announcement schedule. The Rachael is going to be called Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, or Xperia X10 as one of the Xperia series. New Xperia X3 Photo, Announcement in November

Featuring a Qualcomm’s 1GHz snapdragon processor, the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 (Rachael) is said to be announced in early November. The Xperia X3 has a big 4-inch touch screen in WVGA resolution, 8 megapixel camera, built in WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and support dualband 900/2100MHz HSDPA / HSUPA network.

The 8 megapixel camera does not have a Xenon flash but comes with a LED flash instead. It can also record 30fps VGA video, plus a helpful list of features like smile shutter, image stabilizer and face detection. The new leaked photo above did not have the company’s unique user interface though. Just like HTC Sense, Sony Ericsson is developing its custom user interface to replace the usual default Android UI.

Rumor: Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Spy Photos

Similar to the renderedXperia X3 picture, here comes the first spy shot of the Xperia X3 Android smartphone photos. We can hardly see anything in detail yet, but if the smartphone will be available by Jan next year, it should be announced pretty soon in this quarter.

Rumor: Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Could Come Jan-2010

With the unannounced Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 leaked in July, Sony Ericsson has yet to confirmed this Android smartphone officially. According to mobilecrunch, its unnamed source is telling them that the company will make the X3 ready by January 2010, about the same time as Xperia X2 running windows mobile OS.

The Xperia X3 is also called Racheal, it could be powered by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, comes with a 8 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Sony Ericsson has already said in May that it is putting more focus on Android platform, and it will be running with its unique user interface design on top of the Android OS.

Video: Sony Ericsson Custom UI for Android Smartphone

Just like what HTC is doing, Sony Ericsson is creating their own user interface on top of the Android OS, which is rumored to be used on the company first Android smartphone called Rachael. The leaked video is certainly not showing the final version. It consists of different tabs at the bottom of the touch screen and integrates well with social networks like facebook and twitter. Rumor: Sony Ericsson Android Smartphone called Rachael?

Is this the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson? mobile.nu said they have got images from some internal documents and the first Sony Ericsson Android smartphone will carry Xperia branding with a codename called Rachael. As what we reported in May, Sony Ericsson was saying that they are putting more company resources into Android smartphone development. When it is ready, it would most likely featuring the same approach as HTC, which will come with its custom UI on top of the Android OS.

Rachael is rumored to be powered by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, comes with a 8 megapixel camera and 3.5 mm headphone jack. There will be 3 hardware keys below the display touchscreen and it comes without a hardware QWERTY keyboard.
