LG today unveiled the LG GD510, a compact 3-inch full touchscreen phone comes with WQVGA display resolution (240 x 400), 8GB internal memory and 3 megapixel camera. The LG GD510 is crafted from brushed aluminum, has a single button on the face that functions as the menu, end and cancel keys, depending on the phone’s mode.

Samsung today announced its first solar powered mobile phone, the “Crest Solar” (E1107). The new handset enables its users to charge the battery anywhere the sun is shining when electricity is unavailable. The Crest Solar will be available in numerous markets including India, Europe, Southeast Asia, Southwest Asia, and Latin America from June 2009.

LG has announced that it will set up a ECO Friendly Zone at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2009, together with a eco friendly prototype phone which has built in solar panel and made from recycle plastic or bio plastic.
