You can update your device via OTA or via Nokia’s Ovi Suite software for your computer. It would take 27MB to download and around 20 minutes depending on your internet. Here what Nokia’s Vice President, Ilari Nurmi have to say,

The new update can be installed manually using USB or you can used an OTA as another option. The following list will tell you all the changes that Sony Ericsson makes for the Xperia X10 & X8.

• Addition of some bi-directional languages (Arabic, Farsi, Thai and Hebrew) – All products.
• Pinch/zoom touch for mobile Internet and Google Maps. – Only Xperia X10.
• Moxier in an updated version (2.7.13) that includes a great overview widget for e-mail, calendar and tasks.
• Moxier e-mail shown in Timescape.
• Possibilities of trimming videos in the phone.
• Videos are transcoded to fit into MMS-messages even if they were recorded in high quality.
• Minor changes to Mediascape with access to “Now Playing” in the top right corner.

As most of you already know, face recognition isn’t a new concept on Android, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 has the ability to identify people’s pictures and then link them to their Contacts entries. But the Recognizr app is said to give facial recognition capabilities to all Android devices and not just one.

As of now Recognizr is in the prototype stages, but the folks from TAT expect to have a version of the app in the Android Market in a few months. One of the caveats of the app at this point is that in order to be recognized, participants must be users of the mobile app. It is still a great concept though, let us know what you think about it.
