The Revolution packed with 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor, 16GB of internal memory, a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, Bluetooth, Wifi, and GPS. If you want to enjoy bigger screen capacitive when watching a video, you can also do that with this phone since it have a HDMI output.

Yesterday, LG just placed the handset to FCC listing with a code name of LG VS910. The device ought to be released this month. This means that there’s possibility the HTC Thunderbolt won’t be the first to be Verizon LTE handset if the Revolution was to be launch this month.

As far as Android devices go, some might consider them a dime a dozen. But, that doesn’t mean they don’t stand out just on their own merits. For example, when you’re technically the first company out there to put a 1GHz Snapdragon processor in an Android device, that should count for something. Even if Android is all over the place. For Acer, their Liquid handsets are not the most attractive out there, but they do have their shining moments. And thanks to our friends at SlashGear, we get a full-blown review of the device. So, is it worth it? Or has Acer just made another one to pass up?

Software wise, the only alteration to the original Acer Liquid that you’ll find is the Android 2.1 mobile Operating System (OS) that’s been installed. This is a favorable step, pushing away from the (now) much-maligned Android 1.6 and going into the world of “current.” (If you don’t count the upcoming availability of Android 2.2, that is.)What makes it all the better, though, is the fact that Acer didn’t put any customizations to the User Interface (UI) this time around, so that when Acer (and Rogers) go ahead and announce a Froyo update, it shouldn’t take long to get that in gear and downloaded to owners handsets. As for that 1GHz Snapdragon processor we mentioned earlier, sadly that’s still underclocked to 768MHz, so don’t expect to go flying through all your apps, homescreens, and web pages. Yes, there is a definite speed improvement versus other Android devices, but nowhere near comparable to the high-end devices like the Nexus One, Droid Incredible, or recently released EVO 4G.

The hardware, while obviously plastic both in aesthetics and feel, is quite solid. It doesn’t feel like a fake phone, more or less. Otherwise, features like the touch-sensitive keys under the screen are welcomed, even if hardware keys would have been perfect. In the end, the Acer Liquid E isn’t a high-end device going up against the likes of the Incredible or EVO 4G. It’s just another Android device, and for the $49.99 price tag (with a new, three-year contract from Rogers Wireless up in Canada), and with features like Android 2.1 and a 768MHz processor, it won’t take much to sell well. If you’re up in Canada and pick one of these bad boys up, let us know what you think of it.

Android is all over the place, no doubt about that. And here we are with the launch of another handset, this time making its appearance up in the Great North. Rogers have just put the Acer Liquid E up for sale on their website, and probably the most shocking thing of the whole ordeal, is the price. And, we’ll give you a hint: it’s good.

The Acer Liquid E features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, Android 2.1, and there’s even a 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood. There’s a 5MP camera on the back, one of which you can take video with, too. You also get access to GPS, the standard Google services, as well as WiFi b/g, Bluetooth support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You also get a microSD card slot.

The handset is available right now, and if you decide to go for the 3-year contract rate (which you’re probably well accustomed to by now), then you can pick up the Acer E for only $49.99. But, if you want to change things up and go for a two-year deal, you’ll be faced with a price tag of $324.99. A one-year contract will cost you $374.99, and getting it contract free will put you back $424.99. That three year deal looks like a steal now, doesn’t it?

Before we get too far into this, we’ll say this first: if you’re at all interested in this Android powerhouse, then you need to go ahead and head over to your local Best Buy, and pre-order your own handset. Sprint’s already said that the device has some major desire from the populace, and considering that other HTC-made devices keep selling out, we’ll go ahead and assume that the biggest phone to launch on Sprint in, what, decades, will probably follow the same fate.

The HTC EVO 4G is a 4.3-inch TFT LCD beast. It’s running Android 2.1, and it’s also featuring HTC’s Sense User Interface (UI). Under the hood you’ll find a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. There’s a lot of extra goodies, like simultaneous voice and data, and the ability to connect to Sprint’s 4G (WiMax) network, but of course you already knew all of that.

As for the pre-order, you can head into your store right now and drop $50 to make sure that Best Buy has one waiting for you in store. And yes, this is the only way to make sure you get one. If you’re one of those people who likes to live on the edge, then don’t worry about it, and just hope for the best. But, we’d recommend pre-ordering. The device will be available June 4th, so you don’t have that long to wait. It’ll cost you $199, and at Best Buy you won’t have to worry about any kind of mail-in rebate, which is good news. Who’s doing it?

This is interesting. That whole contradicting reports thing is definitely taking a front-and-center stage show right now. Just a few days ago, we heard reports that the Acer Liquid e would be hitting Rogers up in Canada this Sprint for a mere $49.99. Pretty good deal, right? Well, now we’re seeing some more leaked screen images, and they’re telling a very different story.

According to a brand new leaked image of an internal Rogers pricing list, the Acer Liquid e is actually going to be sold for $79.99 when it hits shelves some time this Spring. Of course, since it’s up in Canada, this means that you’re going to be paying that price only if you sign your life away for a new, three-year contract, so keep that in mind. But, if you don’t like contracts, you should still be able to pick it up contract free for $349.99.

Basically, what this tells us is that the device is going to be between $50 and $80, and that’s not half bad at all. Especially for what the device brings to the table: Android 2.0, an underclocked 1GHz Snapragon processor, down to 768MHz, five home screens, and Acer’s own modifications to the User Interface (UI). We’ll see what happens here, so stay tuned.

When the Motorola Motoroi was announced late last year, everyone was shocked at two things: its curious hardware design, along with the fact that it didn’t seem to be running Motorola’s BLUR User Interface (UI). To make it all better, though, Motorola managed to get Android 2.0 under the hood, which made plenty of people out there pretty happy. And, while the Motoroi may not be the hottest ticket on the market, Motorola obviously wants to get their interesting piece of technology in as many markets as possible.

But before the device can make it to the UK’s market, it has to get improved. What’s a better way to do that, then to have it get some significant hardware improvements under the hood? Let’s go over the similarities, first: Android 2.1, 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, 8MP camera with Xenon flash on the back, 720p video recording, and an included HDMI port.

The word on the street is that the processor under the hood is about to get significantly improved before it lands in the UK, which makes us wonder if the legendary 1GHz Snapdragon processor is going to find its way into another handset. The Motoroi would definitely improve with the beefier stats, so we hope it gets it. As soon as we know more, we’ll pass it along.

Feels like you’ve been waiting forever, doesn’t it? Ever since those first images leaked of the Verizon-bound handset, you’ve been wanting more. And then, sure enough, Verizon let slip that splash page, telling the world that April 29th was a day to look forward to. And let’s not forget that official specifications sheet, right? But all that waiting is finally paying off, because Verizon Wireless has come forward and made everything all comfortable for you. Meaning, it’s official, folks, and there’s even a release date and pricing!

Despite the fact you’ve already seen the specifications for the Droid Incredible a few times now, we’re going to run through them one more time. We have to make sure you know what you’re getting when you go stand in that line at the end of the month, after all. When you open up the box, you’ll be greeted with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display. As soon as you turn it on, you’ll be greeted with Android 2.1 running the latest version of HTC’s beautiful skin, Sense UI. As you play around, you’ll find that you’re able to move from screen to screen, pop in and out of application after application with speed and grace, as the 1GHz Snapdragon processor chugs along. And, if you were to find your way into the settings, you’d see that there’s 8GB of on board storage for your media consumption delights. Oh, and don’t forget to turn your new toy around, because there’s an 8MP camera there, which we’re sure you’ll want to take full advantage of.

Now, let’s get to the really important part, shall we? How much is it going to cost, and when are you going to be able to get your mitts on it. You’ll be able to preorder the Droid Incredible by HTC starting April 19th. It will cost you $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. And, finally, you’ll be able to take it home on April 29th. Anyone out there planning on preordering? If you’re interested, the full press release is below.

Now that the Droid Incredible is all official and what not, and we’ve even seen the official specifications sheet, it’s time to start finding out where this handset is being sent. Sure enough, the yellow tag reseller, known better as Best Buy, is getting their very own stock of the incredible Android-based device, sure to rock the socks off of any new (or upgrading) Verizon Wireless customer. Unless you’re going to buy it out right, that is.

The big question right now, we think, is whether this screenshot of an internal Best Buy inventory actually means something beyond its face value. While April 29th is the listed date from Verizon Wireless of the Incredible’s launch, Best Buy has been known to legally sell a handset before the wireless carrier. It happened with the Motorola Devour, for instance. So, does the fact that Best Buy is getting the handset on April 25th mean they might actually start selling it then, too? And, will this $599.99 out-right price stick around, or will it get a price drop before the official launch?

The more likely of answers is that that is when the reseller is going to get their stock, but they won’t be able to put the phone out on shelves until the April 29th launch, or street date. Of course, we’re going to keep our fingers crossed that we’ll be given the option to buy this Android 2.1 running Sense UI goodness, 3.7-inch AMOLED display showcasing, 1GHz Snapdragon processor powered juggernaut of a phone early. It can’t hurt to dream, right?
