Bell to bring Twitter’s SMS service to Canada

Bell and Twitter today announced that Bell Mobility will offer Canadians full SMS (Short Messaging Service, or mobile text messaging) support for interacting with Twitter. On December 19, at team of 10 skydivers attempted to set the Guinness World Record for fastest test messaging while skydiving. The team used five different Samsung Mobile messaging phones with full QWERTY keyboards. Data, SMS roaming charges soon to be cheaper

Governments in the European Union are set to regulate the costs on roaming charges of data usage and text messages. According to Mobile Industry Review, by citing Reuters, the EU Telecoms Commissioner has outlined the cost should be at 11 Euros cents for a roaming text message, compared with the existing average rate of 29. continued »

AT&T Reports Largest Text Messaging Spike in Company History on Election Night
