Previously available in limited invitation-only beta, Microsoft has upgraded its My Phone web portal and opened its service to public. Still not a final official version yet, new Windows Mobile 6.5 screenshots have been posted in ppcgeek forum with newer version (build 21159). The new screenshots does have some new info. We can now see 2 new application icons, a Marketplace (Skymarket) to access to online software catalog and Microsoft My Phone (SkyBox) to sync with backup service.

Known as Microsoft SkyBox mobile service, the official website was first found through getskybox.com and now redirected to http://windowsmobile.com/myphone. The company has issued an official statement, stating a invite-only beta to be available soon and it is called Microsoft My Phone service.

It is not sure if this gonna be final build of upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5. New screenshots has been released on xda-developersforum, showing the home screen and screenshots of mobile Internet Explorer. One home screen screenshot with shortcuts to program is again using the honey comp style, which has been repeatedly leaked in previous Windows Mobile 6.5 rumors.

In line with what we heard last year, Microsoft is planning to launch its online application store for Windows Mobile next month at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona. According to NeoWin, not only Microsoft will announce the application store, called SkyMarket, it will also announce Windows Mobile 6.5, SkyBox and SkyLine mobile services.
