ShoZu announced today that Adobe Photoshop.com members can use its mobile social media service to quickly upload photos from more than 350 different handsets to Photoshop.com accounts. ShoZu’s service allows Adobe Photoshop.com users to take advantage of support for additional handsets that include Apple iPhone, Apple iPod touch, Motorola RAZR2, a range of phones including Nokia 5310 and Nokia 6301, and BlackBerry Pearl.

With the ShoZu application downloaded to the handset free of charge, Photoshop.com users can transfer full-resolution photos with accompanying titles and descriptions from the phone to their Photoshop.com account with a few clicks. There is no need to open a mobile browser; interrupt phone calls, text messaging or camera use while images are transferring; or start over in the event of a dropped connection.

In addition, ShoZu users can simultaneously upload any given image to any number of Web destinations – ranging from Photoshop.com, Facebook, Google Blogger and WordPress to multiple email addresses – without leaving the ShoZu application.

Adobe recently introduced Photoshop Elements 7 and Adobe Premiere Elements 7, along with the option to sign-up for one year of Photoshop.com membership, extending the capabilities of the software by regularly providing helpful templates and creative tutorials. Photoshop.com Plus membership provides 20GB of storage.

ShoZu can be downloaded at mobile.photoshop.com or www.shozu.com.

ShoZu has announced a new edition of its free social media aggregator for iPhone and iPod touch, available immediately on the Apple App Store. The new version simplifies photo uploading, blogging and other mobile interaction with more than 50 Web 2.0 sites. Enhancements include the ability to take and upload high-resolution pictures from within the application, add geo-tags to any photo if desired, make text-only posts to blogging sites, and use ShoZu in five languages. ShoZu has also added new reliability features to ensure smoother photo uploads, easier addition of new Internet destinations, and faster application speed overall.

The core ShoZu application for iPhone enables users to quickly and easily upload any photo captured with the device’s built-in camera or saved to the iPhone photo library to their choice of over 50 online communities from a single interface, eliminating the need to navigate to each site separately or manage a different iPhone application for each service. Pictures can be transmitted to any number of supported sites simultaneously with a tap.

The newest edition adds key capabilities and improvements including:

Text-only posts to blogging sites from Google Blogger to Vox, Wordpress, Typepad and more. Photo blog uploads are still supported.

Geo-tagging for any photo upload, allowing photos to automatically appear on maps in sites like Flickr and Picasa Web Albums. Users can now add geo-tags – even when using non-GPS iPhone/iPod touch devices – simply by tapping ‘Add geo-tag for current location’ on the same ShoZu screen where they add titles, descriptions and tags.

High-resolution (1600×1200) photo capture and upload, for users who want crisper images than the 640×480 resolution provided from the iPhone album. High-res photos can now be taken and uploaded directly from within the ShoZu application.

Faster startup and new ease-of-use features, including an easy way to tell how many photos are still waiting to upload.

Easier retrieval of new content feeds, including friends’ Flickr or Facebook photostreams, Facebook status updates, Facebook event listings, and more.

Automatic time stamps by time zone, including Daylight Savings Time where applicable.

Localized versions in French, German, Italian and Spanish, in addition to the original English-only release.

ShoZu for iPhone is available as a free download from Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/

Mobile Web 2.0 innovators, ShoZu, have been selected by Juniper Research as the top award winner in the Future Mobile Awards – mobile web 2.0 category. The Future Mobile Awards are given to companies that have made a significant contribution to their sector and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future.

Ian Chard, panel judge and Analyst at Juniper Research says, “Supporting one-click transfer of digital content between mobile phones and 50+ social web destinations, geo-tagging, mobile-to-web messaging, and behavioural targeted advertising, ShoZu offers mobile network operators an established, all-round Mobile Web 2.0 on/off-deck turnkey platform. The average user is said to generate 20 network ‘events’ (i.e. content uploads/downloads) per month, with heavy users generating in excess of 100 events per month. This success demonstrates what can be achieved if users have the right tools available. ShoZu has partnered with Telecom Italia, Singapore’s StarHub and 3 (Austria and UK) under revenue-share agreements, while shipping as an embedded application on Motorola and Samsung handsets. By providing the mobile web equivalent of a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and catering to the needs of the prosumer, ShoZu is a deserving Gold winner this year.”

Click here to view the embedded video.

ShoZu is a mobile utility that enables users to connect to over 50 Web 2.0 sites – ranging from Facebook to YouTube, Flickr, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, Photobucket, Twitter, Google Blogger, WordPress and beyond – from a single interface. With ShoZu installed on the handset, smartphone, iPhone or BlackBerry, users can mass-publish any photo or video to multiple websites and/or email addresses with a single upload; send Twitters and update Facebook status from the same interface; have friends’ photos, comments and other posts delivered directly to the mobile device.
