O2 delivers dynamic Priority ads through Shazam iPhone app

O2 today announces an exclusive sponsorship deal with Shazam which will allow it to deliver highly targeted ads for its Priority Tickets service to Shazam users. Customers will be served relevant ads for O2 Priority pre-sales based on the music they have tagged through Shazam’s iPhone application. The dynamic ads will be delivered using 4th Screen Advertising’s ad serving platform, Mpression.

O2 Priority Tickets is a unique offer for O2 customers which gives them the ability to purchase tickets for gigs at The O2 and O2 Academy venues up to 48 hours before they go on general sale. These relevant and contextual ads will be delivered using a variety of formats including standard banners and integrated links. Shazam’s iPhone app is free to download via the App Store.

Shazam Launches Music Discovery Applications on Windows Marketplace for Mobile

Shazam today announced the availability of its music discovery application for Windows phones via the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Shazam allows users to discover and share music simply by holding a phone up to a song as it is playing. It will be offering a free version as well as a separate full-featured version which users can access for a one-time fee.

Users of the free Shazam application will have the ability to discover up to five songs per month and have the option to share their discovered music. Premium users will get unlimited tagging capabilities plus additional features that include:

Access to Shazam’s Tag Charts which indicate what music and which artists are hot and are being tagged by Shazam users in country
Recommendations for similar tracks based on the tagged songs and artists
Biographies of tagged artists and bands
Music and album reviews, and discographies

New users will be offered the opportunity to trial the full-featured Shazam application for seven days, after which they will be prompted to purchase it or revert to the limited, free edition.

At launch, the Shazam applications on Windows Marketplace for Mobile will be available in English in more than thirty markets around the world. Shazam expects to roll out multi-language versions in the coming weeks.

CTIA2009: Shazam for BlackBerry Available at BlackBerry App World

Shazam today announced the availability of its unique application for BlackBerry smartphone users; allowing them to discover, purchase and share music anywhere they go. Shazam is able to identify music anywhere: from the radio, TV, film, or in a store by simply holding a BlackBerry smartphone towards the music and selecting ‘Tag Now’. From the returned results, you can check the details and purchase the music directly from the phone. The application is available for 60 days trial, follow by a $4.99 one-time fee. Alternatively, if users prefer they can continue Shazaming for free on a limited feature and tagging basis

Shazam identifies and provides information to the user about the track, artist and album from its ever-expanding music database; currently consisting of over 8 million tracks, including the largest collection of undiscovered music and pre-release tracks.

New Samsung S5230 TouchWiz Announced

Sanmsung today has also announced the new Samsung S5230, which has a slim and compact body at 11.9 mm thickness but without HSDPA supports. Instead of a QVGA screen on the Samsung S5600, the S5230 has a WQVGA full-touch screen in 3-inch size. It is also powered by the TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets and comes with a 3 megapixel camera.

Both S5600 and S5320 are pre-installed with a software service called Shazam. Its “Find Music” service will help you in getting the correct song titles with any portion of the song. The S5320 also has a microSDHC card slot and a 50MB internal memory. Samsung S5230 will be available in France and other European countries from April.

Shazam Expand its Music Recognization Service to 8 Million Songs

This week Shazam announced that it has increased its music database from six to eight million tracks following new major partnerships and direct sourcing activities. The extra two million tracks will be linked to Shazam’s other unique assets, taking users on a music journey from discovery to knowledge with artist biographies and album reviews through to purchase of the music they love through affiliated partners.

By using Shazam service, users can find any song they want to listen to even at an unexpected moment. By recording and sending a tune to Shazam server, users can easily track down and even purchase the song, through participating operators’ music stores.

Shazam has already released its music discovery software for Android last month, allows T-Mobile G1 users to discover music that can immediately be purchased through the Amazon MP3 store and connect with artists through MySpace.

Shazam today announced the launch of its mobile application for the Android platform that allows users to discover music that can immediately be purchased through the Amazon MP3 store and connect with artists through MySpace. Android users will be able to quickly and easily enhance their music collections while taking advantage of social networking integration with MySpace to get the most out of their latest music discovery.

Shazam allows anyone with a mobile phone to identify music by holding the phone towards an unknown song. The Shazam technology recognizes the song and provides the user with information about the track, artists and album.

When a Shazam user discovers a new song, they can choose to purchase the digital track immediately from the Amazon MP3 store. They can also tag a song to get more information about the artist, automatically connect to their MySpace page, and friend them to complete the experience. All of this activity takes place on the Android-powered device.
