Sharp has just announced their newest slide-out numeric keyboard smartphone. The device will be launch with the name of Aquos IS14SH. It will be available in Japan market near future, date yet to be confirmed.

You can expect the device to be mid-to-high end smartphone. It packed with a 3.7-inch display with 960 x 540 QHD resolution, 8 megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. As for the processor, it would be between 1.0 to 1.2Ghz. It probably runs on Android Gingerbread OS. Price and date to be announced.

Sharp 3D Aquos SH8298U Android Smartphone Features An 8-Megapixels Camera

Sharp has officially announced their newest Android smartphone called Aquos SH8298U. The device is a 3D-capable Android smartphone. Aside from that, the SH8298U has glasses-free 3D features and a dual cameras on the back of 8-megapixels.

It packed with a 4.2-inch qHD display, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 2GB onboard storage, and a 1240mAh battery. The device is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The SH8298U comes in white and red colors. It will be available via SoftBank in Japan.

Sharp New Android Handset Featuring Yahoo!

Yahoo! is planning to release an android smartphone. The device is made by Sharp and targeted to folks in Japan. It would have a custom user interface skin and of course, Yahoo! as the main search engine.

The handset is heading to SoftBank Japan as the Yahoo Phone. It features 1 Ghz processor, a 4.0″ qHD display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a 8MP shooter. When the customers purchase the handset, they will received Yahoo Premium for 2 years free.

Sharp Android Slider Smartphone For AT&T Specs Has Been Discovered

Thanks to the folks from Unwired View, we have seen the device leaked pictures. Now we have the specs for the handset. As you can recall the device is quite similar to the old T-Mobile Sidekick.

The device packed with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, GSM/WCDMA connectivity, WiFi, GPS, and a camera on the back. Like I have mention, since the device is really similar to the Sidekick, it has a slide out four row QWERTY keyboard under the screen. The handset will runs on the AT&T 850/1900 UMTS network. Pricing and availability is to be announced.

Sharp Revealed New 3D Smartphone, The Aquos Phone SH-12C

Here comes another 3D handsets. But this time it comes from Sharp. The company has unveiled their newest product, a 3D smartphone called the Aquos Phone SH-12C.

The handset sports dual 2-Megapixels camera sensors on the front and dual lenses. This will allow you to shoot 3D still photo and 3D HD resolution video. And of course, the device will have an HDMI output so you can connect the smartphone to your TV.

The Aquos SH-12C features a 4.2-inches display with 540 x 960 resolution, WiFi, and hotspot capability. The handset will be running on Gingerbread and the TapFlow UI. The device is hitting NTT DoCoMo in Japan on May 20. Its available in black or white version.

Sharp Baccarat SH-09C, A Luxurious Japanese Phone

Sharp Baccarat SH-09C is now available via NTT DOCOMO, Japan. The device was made by a French luxury crystal glass maker called Baccarat. This device are limited edition only.

The customer will be able to see a Baccarat glass or tumbler whenever they receive or make a call using the SH-09C. It also will comes with Baccarat wall papers, fonts and icons.

It featured a 3.4-inch screen with 480×854 resolution, 14.1MP CCD camera with full HD recording, HDMI port, DLNA support, and Wi-Fi. Japanese buyer can purchase the device next month and there’s only 5,000 units available.

Sharp IS03 Comes With Android And Retina Display

Sharp has comes up with a new Android handset but here’s the catch; It has the retina display. Although, they can’t quite decided weather to used the same term as Apple screen display but it has similar capability. The Sharp IS03 is the mixture of Android handset and Apple’s iPhone.

The handset features 3.5-inch touchscreen display boasts a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels,9.6 megapixel autofocus camera, the one-seg TV tuner and runs android 2.1. As for the outer form factor, it has similar curve on iPhone 3G in each edges. Overall, the Sharp IS03 looks pretty awesome. Sadly, this is most likely only available in Japan only. AT&T Adds Sharp FX Quick Messaging Phone

AT&T today announced the July 25 availability of Sharp FX messaging phone with AT&T Mobile TV supported. The Sharp FX has a full touchscreen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard for quick access to messaging, IM, email and social networking. The device also features an MP3 player, 2.0 megapixel digital camera with camcorder and Bluetooth 2.1.

The Sharp FX will be available at AT&T retail stores nationwide and online on July 25 for $99.99 (Pay $149.99 and after mail-in rebate receive $50 AT&T Promotion Card. Two year service agreement and a minimum $20 messaging or combination of messaging and data plans required.

Sharp Develops 3D Touchscreen for Mobile Devices

Sharp has announced a 3D touchscreen LCD for mobile devices, allows you to switch between 2D and 3D modes and view 3D images without the need to wear special glasses. The newly developed 3D LCD uses a parallax barrier system to display 3D images. This parallax barrier, which has a series of vertical slits, is incorporated into an ordinary LCD to control the path of light reaching the right and left eyes, thus creating a sense of depth. Sharp had further improved the system by doubling the brightness and optimizing the design.

It is not sure when will Sharp releasing a phone with the 3D touchscreen, a non-touchscreen 3D LCD is already planned for mass production this quarter.

Sharp to Ship Mobile Phone to China and Other Regions

Sharp has announced that it will start expanding its mobile phone business out of Japan, with first solar powered phone available in China next month.The Sharp SH6230C comes with an integrated solar panel, allows you to charge your phone under sun light. The SH6230C is equipped with advanced technology originally developed in Japan, including Sharp’s proprietary solar cell module, a large 2.9-inch LCD screen, and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera.

Other than the Sharp SH6230C, the company is planning to bring in two other models (SH6220C and SH6228C) incorporating Memory LCD. The Memory LCD is a low-power-consuming display with high visibility under the daylight. The Memory LCD can display such information as the time and e-mail status at all times.
