Samsung Tocco Lite S5230 Announced in UK

Samsung Mobile UK today announced the launch of the Samsung Tocco Lite, in the UK market, the latest addition to the Tocco family. The Samsung Tocco Lite has enhanced social media features , which uses online widgets to keep your Facebook status up-to-date, log on to your Myspace page or browse YouTube for the latest videos. You can also tag photos of your contacts on the device, as well as uploading your photos to social networking sites from the phone directly.

The slim Tocco Lite incorporates a 3 Megapixel camera, FM radio receiver, 3.0″ WQVGA touch screen, music recognition and Samsung DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine). The Samsung Tocco Lite is set to launch in UK stores mid May.

Available now in most countries, here is an unboxing video of the Samsung S8300 Tocco. The new addition to the UltraTouch series is offering a 8 megapixel camera module with dual LED flash, GPS, smile shutter and support HSDPA 7.2 Mbps network. The ultra-slim 12.7mm body of UltraTOUCH has an upgraded TouchWiz user interface. Mobile widgets can be dragged and placed on the screen for one-click access to favourite applications, or the slide-out tactile 3×4 keypad offers a tangible alternative behind the attractive touch screen. It also comes with a 60 MB internal memory and a microSDHC memory card slot for expansion. It is selling at around 460 USD depends on your local agent.

Samsung F480 Tocco Gets an Unboxing And First Impressions

SlashGear has just gave an unboxing video on the Samsung F480, which is being marketed in Tocco (means Touch in Italian) branding. Despite its slim 11.6 mm body, the F480 also boasts all the multimedia functions you would expect from a premium Samsung mobile. This includes 240 MB of internal music memory, a memory card with up to 8GB storage, an integrated FM radio, a 5 megapixel camera featuring auto focus and a CMOS video lens.

What has been perhaps most surprising is how well the Tocco’s haptic feedback works. Samsung are now calling it “differentiated tactile technology” and describe it as a “tangible and pleasing feedback sensation”; for once, it actually adds something to the usability of the cellphone rather than merely being a vibrating annoyance.
