Adding a millionaire pack edition seems to have became a tradition for Samsung. The company is introducing the Omnia Millionaire Pack II in Netherlands, comes with a Omnia II 16GB version, additional leather case and magazine subscription voucher. Powered by Windows Mobile (Omnia II) and Symbian OS (i8910 HD), Samsung today announced its release plan in Singapore for both smartphones. Just announced last month, the Samsung Omnia2 will be available from this weekend (18-July) at a recommended retail price of S$898 (615 USD) without contract. The Windows phone is using the Windows Mobile 6.1 professional edition and can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5 later. As for the Samsung i8910 HD, it is not carrying Omnia branding and will be available from 1 August at a recommended retail price of S$1,098 (750 USD) without contract.

First unveiled at Mobile World Congress as the first Symbian full-touch handset to be released by Samsung Electronics, the Samsung i8910 is offering a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel camera and supports HSUPA 5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps. The Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode (AMOLED) touch screen offers unrivalled sharpness of tone, vivid colours and efficiency in power consumption.

White Samsung Omnia II Spotted for Verizon Wireless

The latest rumor on phonearena has suggested that not only Verizon Wireless will release the Samsung Omnia II on its network, the windows phone will also come in white version. It is said to be available in July and should be powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 with an Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade option later.

The Omnia II is one of the first Windows smartphones uses the AMOLED display. Its TouchWiz UI is also upgraded with TouchWiz 2.0 with 3D cube UI effects.

Rumor: Samsung to Unveil Omnia Pro B7610 in a while

In a few hours time Samsung is set to announce their new models in the Samsung Unpacked event in 3 different locations at the same time. The company has accidentally posted a set of unannounced B7610 photos, which are identified to be Omnia Pro that comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard similar to the Touch Pro2.

Running on the Windows Mobile OS, the B7610 could be released in Windows Mobile 6.5 when available. According to the source, it will have 2 user interface for work or media, and you can switch between 2 interfaces with one dedicated button. The B7610 supports HSDPA/HSUPA, comes with built in WiFi, GPS, 5.1 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack , bluetooth, 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen and microSD card slot.

Rumor: Next Samsung Omnia Called Samsung i8000?

With the previous Samsung i8910 Omnia HD running Symbian OS, the original Samsung Omnia is said to have a successor called Samsung i8000 or Samsung Omnia2. The new Samsung i8000 does have impressive features. It gets a 8.1 megapixel camera, dual flash LED, 30fps VGA video recording, 3.7-inch AMOLED touch screen and WVGA screen resolution. The user interface will not get a fresh design. It will still come with the TouchWiz UI, with probably more widgets at the sidebar.

The source at mobil.it mentioned that the AMOLED touch screen will support 16 million colors, though it is known that Windows Mobile can only do 65k colors? The next Samsung press event is coming up on June 15th, that should be the possible official announcement date for this i8000.

Rumor: Samsung Omnia Pro with QWERTY Keyboard?

While Samsung is planning to expand its Omnia line up with Windows Mobile only smartphones, hdblog.it has an exclusive rumor on the upcoming Omnia Pro. The Samsung Omnia Pro is said to be running Windows Mobile 6.1, comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.5-inch WVGA touch screen, using AMOLED display and a 5 megapixel camera. If the smartphone is running Windows Mobile 6.1 when launches, it means we should see it soon by Q4 this year? It will be able to be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5 when available according to the source.

Samsung i8910 Not Omnia HD Anymore?

Reported on MobileCrunch, they have got official response from Samsung that the Samsung i8910 will not carry the Omnia branding anymore so that it could keep the Omnia branding for Windows Mobile series. Note that Samsung is still running the Omnia HD promotional website here, and it was still using the Samsung Omnia HD branding last week at CTIA Wireless.
