			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Powered by Windows Mobile (Omnia II) and Symbian OS (i8910 HD), Samsung today announced its release plan in Singapore for both smartphones. Just announced last month, the Samsung Omnia2 will be available from this weekend (18-July) at a recommended retail price of S$898 (615 USD) without contract. The Windows phone is using the Windows Mobile 6.1 professional edition and can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.5 later. As for the Samsung i8910 HD, it is not carrying Omnia branding and will be available from 1 August at a recommended retail price of S$1,098 (750 USD) without contract.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Reported on <a href="http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2009/04/07/samsung-omniahd-loses-its-name/" target="_blank">MobileCrunch</a>, they have got official response from Samsung that the Samsung i8910 will not carry the Omnia branding anymore so that it could keep the Omnia branding for Windows Mobile series. Note that Samsung is still running the Omnia HD promotional website <a href="http://omniahd.samsungmobile.com/" target="_blank">here</a>, and it was still using the <a href="http://www.businesswire.com/portal/site/google/?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20090331005587&amp;newsLang=en" target="_blank">Samsung Omnia HD </a>branding last week at CTIA Wireless.</p>
