Samsung Confirmed Omnia2 and i8910 HD Pricing and Release Date for Singapore Mobile Users

Powered by Windows Mobile (Omnia II) and Symbian OS (i8910 HD), Samsung today announced its release plan in Singapore for both smartphones. Samsung i8910 Not Omnia HD Anymore?

Reported on MobileCrunch, they have got official response from Samsung that the Samsung i8910 will not carry the Omnia branding anymore so that it could keep the Omnia branding for Windows Mobile series. Note that Samsung is still running the Omnia HD promotional website here, and it was still using the Samsung Omnia HD branding last week at CTIA Wireless. continued »

Perhaps one of the surprise from the Mobile World Congress is the new Samsung Omnia HD i8910. MWC2009: Samsung M7600 Called BeatDJ, Samsung Acme i8910 is Omnia HD with Symbian

Samsung M7600, Samsung Acme i8910, both leaked Samsung models for Mobile World Congress have got an official name. Apparently Samsung Omnia has got a sibling, which is the Samsung Acme i8910 and will be called Omnia HD. Remember Samsung Acme i8910 was powered by Symbian OS instead of Windows Mobile? New Samsung Acme i8910 Running Symbian S60 Touch UI

The unknown OS used by the leaked Samsung Acme i8910 has got an answer now, according to info from dailymobile, the Samsung Acme will be running Symbian S60 5th edition and comes with a AMOLED display screen.
