Samsung i7500 Galaxy Available in UK via O2

Samsung today announces that its Galaxy handset (i7500) is now available on the O2 network in the UK through the O2 network. Google services will be preinstalled on the i7500, including the Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and Google Talk. It also has an integrated GPS receiver meaning you can make full use of Google Maps to guide you in the car or on foot.

The Samsung I7500 offers a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash. The big 3.2“ AMOLED display ensures the brilliant representation of photos and videos and reduces the battery power due to the energy-saving technology. The battery has generous dimensions (1500 mAh) and ensures that users enjoy long calls and access to the web. The device also includes a 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, WLAN (802.11 b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0.

The Samsung Galaxy (i7500) is available in the UK on O2 exclusively for 4 weeks from Monday 31st August 2009 and is free on a £45 per month tariff.

Samsung i7500 Cleared FCC Approval with T-Mobile Network Support

Releasing soon in Europe next month, the new Samsung i7500 Android smartphone has just been found in FCC device database. The approval has also included T-Mobile network band, indicating a possible release on T-Mobile network soon.

Also from tinhte.com, here is a nice photo gallery of the Samsung I7500 Android smartphone. The I7500 has a 3.5mm headphone jack on top, which is a nice move for connecting to earphone, speaker easily. The micro-USB port is also placed on top beside the headphone jack for USB connection to your PC. First Samsung I7500 Video Available

Not available before June, one lucky guy from Vietnam has got a working Samsung I7500 Android smartphone on his hand. A brief hardware walkthrough video is available, showing the overall I7500 hardware design. The Samsung I7500 is running the latest Anroid OS 1.5, which has virtual QWERTY keyboard for text input.

Just announced today, the new Samsung I7500 is now officially become the first Android smartphone from Samsung Mobile. Just like what we heard in the rumor, the I7500 will be available by June this year for O2 Germany.

As the first Android mobile phone, the Samsung I7500 offers a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash. The integrated GPS receiver enables the comprehensive use of Google Maps: local positioning, detailed route description and simple navigation. The application Wikitude available in the Android market allows customers to access details of unknown sights via photos on the web.

Rumor: Samsung I7500 First Samsung Android Smartphone?

With the limited choices on the Android smartphones available on the market, a new rumor has suggested the Samsung I7500 to be the first Android smartphone from Samsung. According to Bild am Sonntag, the I7500 Android smartphone is confirmed to be released on O2 network.

Possibly available by June this year (that’s 2 more months!), the Samsung I7500 has a 5 megapixel camera, LED Flash, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 8 GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and powered by Qualcomm MSM7200A 528MHz cpu. It will not have a QWERTY keyboard, text input is done via the new Android soft QWERTY keyboard instead. The 3.2-inch display screen is a capacitive touch screen and using the AMOLED display.
