Samsung Introduces Samsung Jet with 800 MHz CPU and Cube UI

Supporting multi tasking and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Samsung has just announced its new full touch screen phone called Samsung Jet. The Jet is powered by a fast 800MHz processor, it is used for the new TouchWiz 2.0 UI with 3D media gate UI and motion-response UI, smart unlock, customizable widget screen. The 3.1-inch touch screen is an AMOLED display, supporting 16M colors and WVGA resolution.

The Dolfin Web browser lets users surf the net and access popular websites, especially social networking sites, with ease and speed. The 5 mega-pixel camera, built-in GPS, DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology for superior sound quality, and DivX and XviD video support for hassel-free video downloading and viewing.

Samsung Pixon Upgraded with Pixon12: 12 Megapixel Camera

While Sony Ericsson has a Satio available in early Q4, Samsung will send out its world first 12 megapixel camera to Europe by end of June this month. Announced today, the Samsung Pixon12 M8910 shares the same design as Samsung Pixon, which is a 8 megapixel camera phone announced in September 2008. The new Pixon12 now uses a 12 megapixel camera sensor, 28mm wide angle lens, Xenon flash and a 3.1-inch AMOLED screen.

The Samsung Pixon12 enables users to take perfect pictures quickly and easily, thanks to a Dedicated Camera Power Key which gives users fast one-touch access to the camera function. Samsung Pixon12 also features fast image saving for next shot, auto scene detection and Touch Auto-Focus (AF) tracking where you can simply select focus point with the touch of a finger, after which the AF function will automatically follow the object, keeping it in focus even as it moves across the screen.

With Samsung Share Pix, the Pixon12 lets users easily upload images and videos to popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket, Friendster. Add to that, the phone’s high-connectivity functions including Wi-Fi and HSUPA capabilities mean that user’s photos can be shared to their friends in no time.

The Samsung Pixon12 will be available from end of June in European countries and it wil be expanded to other regions in August.

The ultra-slim 12.7mm body of UltraTOUCH has an upgraded TouchWiz user interface. Mobile widgets can be dragged and placed on the screen for one-click access to favourite applications, or the slide-out tactile 3×4 keypad offers a tangible alternative behind the attractive touch screen. It also comes with a 60 MB internal memory and a microSDHC memory card slot for expansion. It is selling at around 460 USD depends on your local agent.

Rumor: Upcoming Samsung Eltz S7220 AMOLED CandyBar

While we are going into 1 week counting down for the Mobile World Congress 2009, rumor and official release from Samsung have already flooded the blog sites. The latest leak is the Samsung Eltz S7220, a candybar phone with a 2.4-inch AMOLED display screen. According to the source, Samsung is planning to launch 11 new models for the Mobile World Congress. The new Samsung Eltz S7220 is not a touch screen and comes with a 5 megapixel camera, A-GPS, music player and microSD card slot.

Official: The New Samsung S8300 Ultra Touch

Just as what MobileCrunch reported, Samsung has officially announced the new UltraTouch S8300 with 2.8-inch full touch screen. The touch screen is anti-scratch and anti-smudge, made with an AMOLED panel. In additional of the 8 megapixel camera with dual power LED flash, UltraTOUCH S8300 offers GPS navigation, providing detailed maps to take users from door to door. Geo-tagging via the GPS chip allows you to tag photos with geographic information, making them easier to use on social networking and photo sites. The camera module also support smile shutter and able to capture 30fps VGA video. Samsung UltraTOUCH is also powered with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, offering speedy internet access.

Rumor: Samsung S8300 Ultratouch Announce on Monday?

MobileCrunch is saying that a new Samsung S8300 Ultratouch will be announced on Monday. According to previous rumor, the Samsung S8300 has a name called Samsung Loches, featuring a slider body, 2.8-inch WQVGA AMOLED display touch screen and 8 megapixel CCD camera. It supports HSDPA 7.2 Mbps wireless data connection with built in GPS, bluetooth and FM radio receiver. Other than the 60MB internal memory, you can further extend the memory storage space with a microSD card. The Samsung S8300 should be available for purchase in March 2009 if the leaked info was correct.

With the few leaked Samsung phones with full touch screen, it is not surprise to see if the company launching a new series with Ultratouch branding. Samsung has been using Ultra Edition for its ultra slim mobile phones for the past 2 years.

Samsung Demoed Foldable AMOLED Display Screen

Possibly the next innovative way of getting a large display screen with a smaller phone body size, Samsung SDI has presented their foldable AMOLED display prototype during the FPDI 2008. There are 2 pieces of thin AMOLED displays placed side by side, creating a almost perfect large WQVGA display screen. You can only see a very thin line at the joint of 2 AMOLED displays.
