The new app features viewing, editing and creation capabilities of Microsoft Office Word and Excel files and is fully integrated with the Quickoffice Connect service. This enables users to create, access and edit documents stored on their devices, as well as access remote content and share via email and/or return to their remote repositories. Users also have access to Quickoffice’s file manager, email attachment forwarding capabilities and desktop file transfer via WiFi or mounting the device as a drive. Additional access providers and subsequent services will be available in future releases as upgrade options. Current Quickoffice Mobile Office Suite owners will receive a free upgrade and the application will be rebranded to Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite.

All Nokia Symbian devices that ship with Quickoffice will receive a free update to the latest edition of Quickoffice 6. Selected Nokia Eseries devices will additionally receive editing support with a free Quickoffice Premier 6 update. All updates are available via Quickmanager, Quickoffice’s secure in-application download manager.

Quicksheet enables users to view and edit Excel documents. The increased functionality now allows landscape editing, direct double-tap cell editing in both landscape and portrait mode, copy and paste columns, rows and cells, faster and easier ways to build formulas, as well as the ability to add a new sheet within a worksheet. The Word editor, Quickword, adds auto-correct, auto-capitalization, find text, adjusting indentation level of bulleted/numbered lists and paragraphs, and double tapping space bar to enter a period. New features for Quickoffice Files include slideshow viewing of images in remote and local directories and the ability to bookmark last viewed position in documents.

Quickoffice Mobile Office Suite, Quickoffice Files, Quicksheet and Quickword will each receive the same applicable free updates. This allows consumers the ability to choose an individual functionality with the same feature set as the full suite.
