A year ago, Sony Ericsson partner up with Microsoft to used their operating system. However, Just like any other manufacturer, they could say they partner up but end up with different OS. But today, a picture leaked via Lizhecomb showing a Sony Ericsson handset running windows Phone 7.

There’s a rumor running a round saying that Sony Ericsson have made a prototype sliding WP7 handset called Julie. As you can see on the picture above, the handset is running WP7 and rigth above the screen the Sony Ericsson named printed clearly. Sony Ericsson is facing the same failure as ASUS in launching a WP7 handset.

If you’ll remember, Windows Phone 7 is still coming. Additionally, there are some Windows Phone 7 devices out there, in the wild, doing things. For example, we’ve got the LG Panther, which is currently still listed as a prototype device, being shipped out to developers for the explicit purpose of, you know, developing things.

The fine folks over at Innovative Singapore were lucky enough to actually get two devices (while we’re still wishing we could have just one), and they were nice enough to take some snapshots of what they got in the mail. That includes the packaging, which isn’t quite yet final, and some obvious photos of the phone itself. The keyboard doesn’t look like the best thing in the world, but hey, these are some pretty rudimentary snapshots.

They wrote down some notes, saying that the devices were very much prototype devices, with Microsoft pushing out new builds for the mobile Operating System almost every other day. And yet, despite the prototype build of the hardware and software, the handset is complete in its feature set, and actually remarkably fast and responsive. (Which can only be seen as great news.) And finally, you need an upgraded version of Zune Software to actually connect the device, as the current version won’t do much for you. We’re getting closer to the official launch of Windows Phone 7, and as the developers get physical hardware to develop their goodness, we can’t help but get ridiculously excited.
