New Eden Another HTC Concept Phone

Jason Wang, a folk of XDA member have comes up with an elegant and clean concept phone. Currently, Jason may not be top designer for smartphone but we are sure he will be one as soon you take a closer look on his design below.

Jason’s concept phone directed toward HTC by taking its element and done some improvisation. It have a two piece aluminum chassis. As for the specs, Jason inserted a 4.0″ AMOLED Display, 1.2 Ghz OMAP 4 CPU, 16GB Storage with 1GB RAM, removable 1,700 mah battery.

Sony Ericsson SK17i Caught in The Wild

A Chinese website have managed to took some snap shots of the successor of Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro. As you can see on the image below. The handset will be power with Android 2.3.

The SK17i will received a codename “Mango”. It has unfamiliar homescreen compared to both X10 and X8. There are no further information on the handset but we’ll keep our eyes on it.

T-Mobile New Commercial Adding Tech Bloggers

T-Mobile is launching another commercial. As usual there’s this brunette with pink get up introducing the Galaxy S 4G. This time she will be accompany by a tech blogger.

T-Mobile are trying to push the Galaxy S 4G to the market by stating that it is the fastest device and the “ultimate” in entertainment. The blogger comes in to prove that T-Mobile’s statement. Also, the main character on the commercial mention the plus point on the handset. It will be pre-loaded with Inception.

Wallec Concept Phone: HTC Eerie HD3

Wallec (wwalczyszyn from Deviantart) decided to created a concept phone called HTC Eerie HD3. The device have a 4.7-inch AMOLED display. Its sports a 2GHz Snapdragon processor while running HTC Sense.

The Eerie HD3 packed with 64GB of ROM and 2GB RAM. Not only that, there microSD card slot, a 1 megapixels camera on the front, and a 12 megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and LED flash. It runs with Windows 7 Mobile Edition but also capable to operate on Android 2.5 or Windows Phone 7. The Eerie HD3 supports 4G, EDGE, GPRS and WiFi.

Acer Planning to Launch WP7 Handset in The Fall 2011

Acer spoke to Pocket-lint stating their plans on launching a Windows Phone 7 handset in the fall this year, which predicted to be around September or October. Last November, Acer CEO, Gianfranco Lanci say “if we look at Windows Phone 7, today, I think we see the same opportunity you can see on Android in terms of customisation.”

Although Gianfranco did mention that Acer is mainly focused on developing Android but they are also busy working on Windows Phone 7. Since Acer is planning to launch in fall, their WP7 handset will obtained “Mango”, the newest update for the platform. Seems, Acer and Nokia will be head to head.

Nokia And Microsoft Starting New Partnership on Building WP7 Phone

We have heard several rumors regarding Nokia adopting WP7 as their new operating system. And now, another rumors running around the partnership will become reality. Nokia is holding their Capital Markets Day event on February 11th. We are suspecting that Nokia plans to announce their partnership with Microsoft.

Of course this means that Nokia is dropping both MeeGo and Symbian which currently used by as the company’s devices main operating system. There are no certainty in this rumor since Nokia refuses to say anything. But we can only sit and wait what’s going to happen.

Samsung Released New Wave Handset, The Wave 575

Samsung announced their new innovation of Wave along the side of Wave 525 and Wave 533. The Samsung Wave 575 aka GT-S5750 will be heading to mid-range section. It has similar features as Wave 525 except in addition the Wave 575 able to runs 3G HSDPA network whereas Wave 525 only capable to runs EDGE.

The device comes in three different color to choose from; black, white, and pink. It features a 3.2-inch WQVGA TFT LCD, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, Samsung Apps support, 100MB internal memory with a possibility to expand via microSD slot. The Samsung Wave 575 will first make its entrance in Sweden on mid-November.

Last time, Verizon announced the discontinued of the original DROID. But today, Verizon shows up with surprising news regarding the device. The DROID will be available as certified pre-owned handset. Surely, its an unexpected progression from Verizon but guess its a fantastic news for most of us.

You can get the device for $99 on 2-year contract. Get your DROID phone here. Although, it is used but better than nothing at all.
