The 4G LTE MiFi 4510L is available today online at www.verizonwireless.com and will be in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores on April 21 for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a 4G Mobile Broadband plan.

The Ovation MC545 is based on the 3GPP Release 8 standard. DC-HSPA+ supports theoretical peak downlink data rates of up to 42 Mbps and 5.7 Mbps on the uplink, allowing carriers to easily upgrade their existing infrastructure equipment to achieve significantly higher bandwidths. The NovaDrive is powered by Nomadesk technology, which Novatel Wireless is pegging as a MiFi Trusted Partner. The NovaDrive is designed specifically for Novatell Wireless MiFi customers, but as the press release states, it can also be used by other customers as well. The cloud-based service allows customers to share, sync, encrypt, and back-up files and data from any location, which can then be accessed from any laptop or web-based, handheld mobile device. Novatel Wireless customers can download the service for free for 30 days, which should be great for a test drive before people decide whether or not to purchase the full service.

What’s great about the NovaDrive, is that Novatel is offering customers an unlimited capacity to store all their files for only $50 a year. That’s great, when you consider the other cloud-based storage efforts going on, that charge nearly the same amount a month. Just to sweeten the deal though, NovaDrive also supports TheftGuard technology, which basically means that you’re able to “shred” and wipe your data from a remote location, in case someone were to gain access to it that you didn’t want.
