Sprint has introduced an upgrade of Motorola i365 with rugged protection. The new Motorola i365IS is intrinsically safe, suitable to be used in hazardous areas that may contain flammable gasses, vapors or dust. It is also certified for military specification requirements including humidity, blowing rain, dust, shock and vibration.

Motorola, Sprint and Boost Mobile have teamed up to announce the upcoming availability of Motorola Stature i9, the thinnest flip phone in the Nextel Direct Connect portfolio. Sprint has launched the NextMail Locator, which allows its users to push-to-send their location, date, time and voice observations to a dispatcher, call center or another field worker by pushing the Nextel Direct Connect button and leaving a message.

Both the Samsung Z400 and Z700 will be available to Sprint network this year. The Z400 is a rugged push-to-talk phone and is certified to Military specification 810F for dust, shock and vibration. Customers will also have added benefits of a 1.3 megapixel camera, Sprint Navigation and Bluetooth support in this clamshell handset.

The LX400 by LG is packaged in a slender form factor and will enable Nextel Direct Connect push-to-talk services. The device will also include a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS capabilities and noise reduction capabilities.
