Palm has released its next WebOS software updates for the second time in this month, which contains nothing new but will fix a security hole in its email software. After the WebOS 1.0.4 updates, you will no longer able to install homebrew software using the email software
WebOS 1.0.3 updates is available now, with changes to the Google contact sync, calendar and emails. The updates file can be done over-the-air from your Palm Pre, a 13 MB file will need to be downloaded before you proceed with the process. Check out the change log inside.
For those users who wanted a GSM Palm Pre, the first GSM WebOS smartphone might be the Palm EOS / Palm Pixie leaked previously. These codenames are found in the CDMA Pre’s ROM with codename Pixie and Castle (for AT&T). The Pixie should be available in second half of this year.
