As expected, Skype has slowly rolled out its new iPhone application and you can now see the application listed on iPhone application store in Japan and US. The free application has a version number v1.0.0.63 and is free to download. The Skype application works only with WiFi connection, supports SkypeOut, Skype-to-Skype and SkypeIn VoIP calls.

While there are already few third party software supporting Skype services on iPhone, the company is planning to announce its native iPhone Skype client next week at CTIA Wireless. According to gigaom, Skype is getting ready to make the announcement, although it is not 100 percent confirmed to be happened in CTIA Wireless.
