According to the HTC in a letter replied to them, “With regards to your inquiry, please kindly be informed that HTC sells different specifications products in different shipping locations. We’ve confirmed that Touch Victor doesn’t support A-GPS function”.

According to another HTC engineer in HTC Care center in Taiwan, the HTC Victor’s hardware does support A-GPS, but was disabled by the firmware released in Taiwan. Perhaps a quick fix of new firmware by the clever folks at xda-developer will get the A-GPS activated on HTC Victor?

Note that the T-Mobile Compact IV is actually the HTC Victor, anyone can confirm if it does have A-GPS?
