Being developed with Okwap, Huawei Technologies Co. and ZTE Corp, the phone will run on a new operating system based on Linux, according to Zhang Zhijiang, the company’s exec in an interview at the Mobile Asia Congress in Hong Kong.

Zhang explained, “U” means Unicom. “We just wanted to compare with the iPhone and LePhone.”But since the company didn’t share the specs’ details,  “make the UPhone sound more like a low-end smartphone rather than a product comparable with the iPhone,” said Paul Wuh, a Hong Kong-based analyst.

This PSP P99 phone has a slider gaming control pad. It can run gameboy / gameboy advance / SNES ROMs, allow you to play the games in landscape mode with the slide out control pad. Would we see a real Sony’s PSP Go like this in the future?

Now they are integrating it into a BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry with Pico Projector is definitely slimmer than last year’s prototype, though the BlackBerry is wider. The BlackBerry in the video is actually just a dummy BlackBerry casing, hopefully TI will be able to complete a working phone with the Pico Projector integrated.

Check out this ShengTai CKing mobile phone in China, they have a working phone with a mini projector with a small projection screen size.

The first company that made this dream comes true might not be them after all, check out this CKing from ShengTai in China. The made-in-china phone continue to innovate in certain area.

During a communication tradeshow in TianJin (IMIE 2008), ShengTai is demonstrating its first phone model with built in projector. Similar to the TI prototype, a micro projector is built on to the top of the mobile phone.  Slightly bigger than a normal size phone body, the micro projector make use of LCoS (Liquid crystal on silicon) technology and is able to give you a 30-inch screen projection.

At the back of the CKing you get a built in speaker, together with a manual focus switch to adjust the focus ring. Has made-in-china phone surprised you? Then again, if only they put in more efforts, there is always something that they copied from elsewhere.

The Cool series has done quite a few watch phone for China market, this Cool G108 is one of their latest work. Using a RAZR style keypad in a ring layout, the G108 is a “clamshell” watch phone with a 1.5-inch display screen inside. The display screen can display 256k colors at a 128 x 60 pixel resolution. It isn’t a small size to wear it, but together with the clamshell design it allows the manufacturer to include more features like bluetooth receiver and 1.3 megapixel camera into the phone body. You can either use the speakerphone, or a bluetooth headset to make/receive phone calls. Check out the list of the specifications below:
