Both Mobile phone retail shops and wireless service providers will be offering the iPhone 3G in unlocked condition. The contract free iPhone 3G can be activated with any GSM network. The 8GB version will cost you $923 USD and the 16GB version will be sold at $1084 USD.

DesbloqueioBr has demonstrated the method to Engadget in video. Different from the iPhone-dev hacking, the unlocking programming is stored in a customize card which will need to be attached together with the sim card.
