Imagine holding a windows mobile smartphone with just a credit card size, how easy you can type on its QWERTY keyboard? Modaco has spotted an i-mate working prototype, ‘Project Centurion’, running Windows Mobile Standard OS and comes with a 2 megapixel camera, d-pad navigation keys and QWERTY keyboard. The tiny phone will support HSDPA data connection and available by the end of this year.

i-mate Launches 810-F Rugged Windows Mobile Phone

To be presented on Mobile World Congress, i-mate is bringing its new 810-F rugged windows mobile smartphone to the show. The smartphone meets tough US military specification 810F. It can withstand harsh conditions like shock, vibration, solar radiation and blowing dust.

The i-mate 810-F will be running Windows Mobile 6.1, supports Triband HSDPA wireless network and can be used with GSM Quadband network. It will come with a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, bluetooth and 2.2 GB internal storage.

i-mate Go Touch UI Free for i-mate Users

Powered by VITO Winterface, i-mate has put up its new touch UI called “Go” for its smartphones. i-mate smartphone users can download the software for free and use it on i-mate JAMA 101, i-mate Ultimate 6150, i-mate Ultimate 8150, i-mate Ultimate 8502 and i-mate Ultimate 9502.

With the tap or slide of a finger, i-mate Go easily navigates through the full suite of Windows Mobile tools. Users can customise the interface adding their own icons for one touch access to the things they use every day from emails, notes and text messages to pictures, the internet or music.

Together with the free Touch UI ,i-mate also releases the Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the i-mate Ultimate range, commencing with the i-mate Ultimate 9502 and Ultimate 8502. Windows Mobile® 6.1 will be available for the Ultimate 8150 and Ultimate 6150 very shortly.

Need a rugged smartphone for outdoor use? BGR have got the first image of i-mate Hummer, a rugged smartphone that will offer you water resistant, anti-shock and dust protection. The Hummer will be running Windows Mobile Standard, no touch screen, but will support fast HSDPA/UTMS wireless data connection, WiFi and comes with a 2 megapixel camera.
